Warm, rythmic Drum and Bass.......2000-12-08

I only have the tour version of this release, which marks a change in direction, for these 4 kiwis.They moved away from the dancehall, and smokey drum and bass of their earlier releases, and have produced a rythmic harmony driven album. With the help of sampling wizard david harrow (of technova fame), who has also worked with dub syndicate, and input from THE MAD PROFFESOR, these guys have created something special. They are going to france soon, but I would suggest you go and see them live if you get the chance, they are even better. Check out this album!!!

this CD has got to be one of my all time favourites!! salmonella dub have produced a very calming ambient mix which i never get bored of, no matter how many times i play it. fantastic. by the way, NZ ROCKS!!

I would like to say that this is the finest piece of music, I have heard. I've had my CD for over a year and I have never got bored of it. It keeps me going and is very calming. I realised their music is the only music I never get sick of hearing, even when it gets repeated over and over again on the radio, I just crank it up. Brilliant work of art is all I can say. cheers!

They've been providing the music for the dance of the urban tribes of Aotearoa for some years now with a completely unmistakeable sound in the whole organic process. It's a hybrid of Drum'n'Bass, Trip Hop, Dub Reggae and Techno stylings evolved from early roots/rock/reggae to more sonic and spatial explorations found here in Crazy 80's and Justice. The secret of this music is in the production - multiple percussion loops, hypnotic beats and eerie vocal cadences built up over time into a swaying, breathing life form that gently uplifts and transports.
