You know you're dealing with a real blockbuster when the soundtrack is made up not only of rocking tracks, but of rocking tracks that were recorded specifically for the movie instead of being fished out of various preexisting albums. (Okay, except for Chubby Checker's "The Twist"--that one's not hot off the presses.) Such is the power of Spidey that he inspired the likes of Snow Patrol, the Killers, Jet, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Wolfmother--and of course you just have to look at the title of "The Supreme Being Teaches Spider-Man How to Be in Love" to know the song is by the Flaming Lips. The overall mood is less heavy than on the previous soundtrack, with the selection hitting pretty close to an alt-rock bull's eye. Highlights include "Sealings," a return to form for Yeah Yeah Yeahs; the Walkmen's evocative "Red River"; and Jet's "Falling Star," a muscular piece of retro-balladry. Among the oddities are Coconut Records, the new project of actor (and former Phantom Planet member) Jason Schwartzman; its contribution, the lovely "Summer Day," features backup vocals by Kirsten "Mary Jane" Dunst. Still, sometimes a big name is not needed: One of the best tracks, the anthemic "Portrait of a Summer Thief," is by the unsigned (as of this writing) Austin band Sounds Under Radio. --Elisabeth Vincentelli

Album Description

The soundtrack includes all-new original songs from established and emerging alt-rock and pop bands, including Snow Patrol, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Jet, The Flaming Lips, Wolfmother, The Walkmen, The Killers and more.

1 out of 5 stars Why not a score??.......2007-07-02

I am so tired of soundtracks only for movies, and not scores. You would expect a movie like this would have even one track of score on the soundtrack. Or even a separate score CD. This is something I will look forward to if it ever happens!!

5 out of 5 stars Look what Spidey caught in his web!!.......2007-06-17

Spiderman 3 is the latest in the hugely successful franchise, and like its predecessors, comes with a great accompanying rock soundtrack with a diverse array of sounds.

In keeping with the darker theme of the story, the songs are more downbeat this time around, comprising mostly new songs (with the exception of Chubby Checker's "The twist").

Opening is Snow Patrol in their typical melancholic sound with "Signal fire" (already a UK top 10 hit).

The Killers get out the buzzing guitars for the upbeat "Move away", which is all things we know and love about them.

Still on the upbeat side of things are "Sealings" by yeah Yeah yeahs (with rough, jagged guitars), the rocking "Pleased to meet you" by Wolfmother, the dance rock "Cut off the top" by Beatsteaks, "Portrait of a summer thief" by Sounds Under Radio, and "Small parts" by The Oohlas (with its sunny, girl group sound).

For ballads, we have "Red river" by The Walkmen, "Stay free" by Black Mountain, the acoustic "Sightlines" by Rogue Wave, the gentle, folk-like "Summer day" by Coconut Records", the jangly "Falling star" by Jet, and "A letter from St Jude" by The Wyds.

Special mention has to be made of two songs; The Flaming Lips give us a Wings-meets-Queen ballad "The Supreme being teaches Spiderman how to be in love" (which manages to name drop Mohammed Ali, and incorporate bits of the Spiderman theme), and the lovely "Scared of myself" (very touching lyrics, - Cause I'm scared, scared of myself without you- dealing with Spidey's fear of losing Mary Jane) by Simon Dawes, who has an incredible voice.

A superb soundtrack!!

4 out of 5 stars get this track for Wolfmother, Snow Patrol, and Jet.......2007-05-24

Okay, so maybe indie rock isn't really my scene; I'm more metal than anything. That's probably why I didn't really like this CD that much. So then why am I giving it four stars? Well, my rating goes from one to three simply because "Signal Fire" by Snow Patrol is on here. Snow Patrol's cut is by far the best song on the CD; I fell in love with it after hearing it in the pre-movie songs when I went to see The Invisible (and Kickin' It Old Skool, and The Hills Have Eyes 2, and...)- but it didn't matter hearing it all those times cause it's an amazing song. The other star boost comes from the inclusion of the tracks from Wolfmother (of whom I am a relatively big fan) and Jet (whom I really started to like after hearing their song "Hold On", from the Spider-Man 2 soundtrack. The movie was SOOOO much better than the soundtrack and I would have already given it away if it weren't for Snow Patrol, Wolfmother, and Jet. If you're fans of those bands, give it a shot. If not, then you really shouldn't waste your time buying it. One final note, the soundtrack really should have included either the acoustic version or the regular rock version of Breaking Benjamin's "The Diary of Jane"; it would have fit perfectly with the movie themes.

1 out of 5 stars Not even worthy of a beer coaster !.......2007-05-22

Ok a got this CD free from a radio station giveaway. I tried to listen to 30 secs of each song but soon i had gotten to the end of the CD. I quickly removed the CD and threw it out of my window. It SUCKS!!! If you're intrested in purchasing this CD don't bother, there is a free one on HWY 17 near Charleston SC!!!!

I don't know who chooses the soundtracks for movies, or how they select appropriate music. Not every film can have a Zach Braff.

But whoever did it for the megablockbuster "Spiderman 3," they have some GREAT taste in music. Rather than scrabbling for some MTV hits, the soundtrack is graced with some genuinely wonderful music -- blazing blurry hard-rockers, lush Britpop, and mellow balladry. It's more a clever rock mixtape than a soundtrack.

It kicks off with Snow Patrol's "Signal Fire," a blend of blazing guitar and lushly swirling instrumentation. The Scotrockers really shine in this one, straddling the line between Britpop and energetic rock'n'roll. "In the confusion and the aftermath/You are my signal fire/The only resolution and the only joy/Is the faint spark of forgiveness in your eyes..."

It's followed up by some hard-rocking stuff -- the Killers have a high-octane "Move Away," the Yeah Yeah Yeahs provide the sizzling "Sealings," and the glorious Wolfmother takes the hard-rock thing even further with the deliciously sludgy "Pleased to Meet You," which is a great introduction to the band.

Then with a epic grimy rocker by the Walkmen (complete with yowling), we segue into some softer material -- Black Mountain provides a beautifully sweeping folksy-rock ballad, Jet's bluesy rocker, Simon Dawes wails that he is "Scared of Myself," Rogue Wave strolls through shimmering indiepop, and Sounds Under Radio turns on the swirling, cycling electric guitars in a soaring ballad.

And with a title like "The Supreme Being Teaches Spider-Man How To Be In Love," it's pretty obvious that the Flaming Lips are involved. Their song is really lovely, with a "Soft Bulletin" softness and beauty.

The soundtrack for the first two "Spiderman" movie had one or two good songs per album (Aerosmith!) by an accomplished band, but most of the songs were by a wretched wad of trendy pop-rockers like Maroon 5, Yellowcard and the Ataris. So I can be forgiven for expecting the worst in the third movie's soundtrack.

Fortunately, I was wrong. The third movie's soundtrack is just crammed with great bands, many of whom are still unknown to the mainstream (Black Mountain, anyone?). There are one or two bumpy patches -- Coconut Records's smug-sounding ballad mellows me into a stupor -- but most of the songs have the feeling of a mix CD you burn for an indie friend, to introduce them to some great music.

And many of the songs fit together well -- many of these songs have cycling, blurry guitars and a slightly grimy sound, and though few of them sound alike, they complement one another. And some of them fit the themes of the music well -- "Signal Fire" and "Scared of Myself" seem like perfect reflections of Peter Parker's feelings in the movie.

The soundtrack for "Spiderman 3" is not only a wonderful soundtrack, but a solid collection of brilliant alternative rock'n'roll. After the awful "Spiderman 2" soundtrack, this is a blessing.

4 out of 5 stars Spectacular SPIDER-MAN Score!.......2005-09-16

When I first saw the "Spider-Man" film, not only was I in awe of the impressive visuals that were appearing before me,but also as much with the spectacular score that the genius Danny Elfman had composed.
This is one potent, powerful and memorable Motion Picture Score that enhances the quality of this film. From the very first notes of the "Main Title",I knew this score was going to be something special - and it is! It has so much going for it.

The "Main Title" and other compositions throughout the score make great use of the choir, whether it be for fast paced action sequences or personal, emotional scenes that occur every so often.
The track "Costume Montage" also is a beautiful combination of score and guitar, and the two compliment each other well.It being one of my favourite tracks on the album.
The track "Revenge",this is another pure delight from the score. It firstly commences in great style with orchestra, then as the pace and emotion gradually picks up, the forces of orchestra, choir and synthesizer combine,to produce another memorable piece.

If I were asked to mention a few of my favourite tracks from this admirable score they would have to be the following - the "Main Title","Costume Montage","Revenge","Revelation" and "Final Confrontation".
This score would have to be one of the best that Danny Elfman has composed thus far in his long and illustrious career. A bold statement, but a true one nonetheless - to my way of thinking anyway!

5 out of 5 stars Awesome.......2005-07-27

All though not as brilliant as the earlier Burton scores, Elfman strikes again with this amazing score. It is rich, percussive, choral, brassy, and huge.

One of the best scores in the last several years.

3 out of 5 stars Spider-Man 1 And 2 Score.......2005-04-08

This May Get to you all. Have you all notice something different in the (score). I will tell you the bit where Peter Parker climbs the wall, Also when he looks into the mirrer, when he misses the bus and starts running for it. Shore there is a bit of the music after the bus but all you fans need that little bit extra. Now I Am a Spider-Man Fan big time and some fans know what that little extra needs. With Spider-Man 2 what about Train & Appreciation that was not used in the movie. I don't care if the counduct the same thing over it's not Elfman wants its what the customer wants also the fans. The missing bits in Spider-Man 2 Score was when his bike got run over and he races after the bad guys or what about the extra bit on The Bank/Saving AuntMay where Doc Ock gets shot out to the car and Web Slinger Runs for him that little bit. Hey its a exellant Cd but when i was reading a kid story this is what I was reading.

Maked a disc 2 Edition now with all the stuff on the Cd.
where with you mate

5 out of 5 stars Spider Man 1 and 2.......2005-04-06

I think that all scores are good and i just want to say something to you all the (score) are missing somthing.
The extra music like when Peter Parker climbs the wall i thought that Danny Elfman put that in the Scores also plus the TRain And Appreciation they Conduted differently think the Train And Appreciation should be change immediatley becuase it's not used in the movie. If I where Danny Elfman i would of made 2 CD's and the whole lot of on the Cd. The Scores now Are great but its just not complete with the left over music he made. This is Bradley And I Live in OLD AUS Reporting my juggment on this Score it is great but make another Cd with all the stuff on it Please. Ps.

I think Venom Goes Well In Spider-Man 3 and the other Villan The Green Goblin

5 out of 5 stars With a sweeping score Elfman's Spider-Man Soares!.......2005-02-21

Returning to the super-hero genre with a vengeance is Danny Elfman. Spider-Man is the premier Marvel hero, and Elfman gives him the perfect score. Starting quietly, Elfman builds up a crescendo that captures the feeling of Marvel's webhead swinging through the city. Throwing in a rough theme for the Green Goblin and an enjoyable love theme, Elfman creates 45 minutes of enjoyable listening. I have to say that without his music for the Goblin, the movie would have been slightly ridiculous. Overall, Spider-Man is a truly enjoyable score.

The boys will be so pleased. Radio-friendly stadium rock is back in a big way, and Music from and Inspired by Spider-Man makes capital use of the trend. Like the blockbuster film itself, there's an attempt to provide something enjoyably disposable for everyone--resulting in "anthemic" songs you nod along to, and then forget the second they're done. Bands and artists you probably don't know (Bleu, Black Lab, Greenwheel) add the Everyman feel Spider-Man's character is said to approximate, while heroes Aerosmith provide an appropriately cartoonish cover of the original "Spider-Man Theme" (but nice to hear them hammily rocking, rather than wringing it ballad style). And if Kid Rock shouted the chorus on a Beastie Boys joint, and their studio guitarist stole the riff from "Devil Went down to Georgia" and used it for an intro, you'd have Sum 41's latest effort ("What We're All About"). Throw in Danny Elfman, some buzz from the Hives ("Hate to Say I Told You So") and the Strokes ("When It Started"), add the token Mary Jane (Macy Gray's "My Nutmeg Phantasy"), and the soundtrack does what it should--provides rock-solid support for the film, and then fades out. --Laura Etling

4 out of 5 stars Spider-Man: Music.......2007-03-10

Made a great gift with the varied artist that has songs on it.

2 out of 5 stars Disappointed..........2006-07-22

I bought the Spiderman II Cd and absolutely fell in love with it, i love every song on that cd, best cd i ever bought. So i figured i'd like this one too. It pretty much sucks. There's a few good ones, but i end up skipping most of them. Thuroughly disappointed.

3 out of 5 stars Some Great songs...But the Whole Album is Less that Stellar........2006-03-23

I have to say that I love tracks 2, 7 and 8. I really only bought this Cd for "Hero" by Chad Kroeger...actually it seems strange that this Cd is the only place to get this song, it should totally be on a single. But anyway; I got "Hero" and was very pleased with it, and then tracks 7/8 were just a bonus.
And for just about three and a half dollars it was well worth the price.

2 out of 5 stars Spidey's mediocre soundtrack.......2005-11-27

I guess for one thing- this soundtrack's only really made notable due to the inclusion of the original theme from the old television cartoon series, and the vamped out rendition of AEROSMITH, which the RAMONES have covered as well (but is not included in the soundtrack - nor does it appear on the movie).

Welp, this soundtrack includes a lot of tracks that are not only irrelevant- but hadn't even appeared in the movie; with a number of them coming from those dorky/unknown kind of bands which runs in the commercialized vein with a stolen format taken from the unsung SIZE 14 -- from the likes of BLEU; SUM 41 (who 'sings' "Rock- that's what we're all about; that's what we live for, comon shout it out" when obviously they dont live what they're yapping at -cos they rap. Rap aint rock- it's crap!); DEFAULT with a track called 'Blind' (when we're not talking about the soundtrack for DAREDEVIL aren't we); the disgusting GREENWHEEL which vies for a MATCHBOX 20 swouwnd with its vowculliestth (it's vocalist Rob Thomas he aint- maybe wanting to charm chicks same way the said Thomas did); that passe band called THE STROKES who tries to emulate BECK's sound (which would've amounted to nothing if not for 'Loser'); and THEORY OF A DEAD MAN singing about 'The Invisible Man'- which is not that bad really, its just that the track could've been rendered the invincible instead, cos Spidey didn't have any invisibility powers y'know. Let alone Harry Potter.

It would've been a better deal for the movie and the soundtrack as well if they'd featured that fabulous ozzy band MIDNIGHT OIL doing a rendition of their own 'King of the Mountain' - on that scene where The Green Goblin made his first appearance in the flick by attacking the launching party for OsCorp, instead of that annoying vocal performance of Macy Grey.

Other notable tracks in the soundtrack of sorts are the ones from THE HIVES (who would've been fitting if its a soundtrack about the MOTH MAN ~kidding), and contributions from posers by the likes of CHAD KROEGER and COREY TAYLOR.

Real notable tracks are those from ALIEN ANT FARM (who would've been fitting for A BUG's LIFE or maybe for the ANT MAN if a movie'd come around for this old comic book hero would come by if ever hehehe); rival-to-STP's ALICE IN CHAINS vocalist Jerry Cantrell and from Pete Yorn (who also appeared on a RAMONES tribute album), plus my real favourite in the soundtrack is the track from INJECTED called 'IV-V-VI'.

However, Danny Elfman did a fine rendering of the score (which is released in full through the Spidey movie score soundtrack album (such clever marketing gimmicks thus)) mainly with the Main Title track, and it's a neccessary thing for Elfman considering that a lot are beggining to label his music as monotunous, mainly through his works for Tim Burton's movies.
They could've rather set the songs with Elfman's songs on a single soundtrack album, and in my crummy opinion - what should've been in the album are the following:

IN SEQUENCE/ORDER of TRACKS=
1) Spider Man theme
2) Spider Man theme RAMONES
3) Main Title theme DANNY ELFMAN
add there
4) CHAD KROEGER and
5) COREY TAYLOR's
6) ALIEN ANT FARM
7) THE HIVES
contributions
cos reportedly they are really intended for the film as meant
-and
8) INJECTED
9) MIDNIGHT OIL's rehash of 'King Of The Mountain'
10) JERRY CANTRELL's
11) AEROSMITH's theme version
12) Farewell DANNY ELFMAN

along with his other score tracks - plus I guess a contribution for the GREEN GOBLIN's Theme would've sufficed and that it would be commisionned that the said track would be a contribution from Ozzy Osborne.

Other artist who would've been fitting to appear in the soundtarck would be: TORI AMOS, BJORK, CHEAP TRICK, U2, and STING. Furthermore, I guess it would've been okey as well if they'd JOAN OSBORNE also as commisioned to do a retake of her song 'Spider Web' for this soundtrack and've pulled out to inlude the old NO DOUBT tune of the same title from their early works.

And in passing - howzabout one of those tracks from the old 70's indie issued SPIDERMAN: Rock Reflections of a SuperHero record (with Stanley's narration) like 'No One's Got A Crush On Peter'... or at least if it'd appeared a bit as a background on the movie.

2 out of 5 stars Was it even neccessary to make more than 6 songs?.......2005-08-22

If you can get this album for 2.00 its worth it. Otherwise forget it. This must be noted:ALMOST ALL THE SONGS ON THIS SOUNDTRACK ARE NOT IN THE MOVIE!!!! If you have unfortunately bought this album. Your best bet is to copy the couple of songs that were in the film and sell it to a FYE store near you or a used cd place.Remember folks, you can always sell it.

5 out of 5 stars In These Metal Days.......2007-06-11

With this album, Brian Eno left behind pop songwriting to embark upon his "ambient music" period. B&AS makes a wonderful farewell to pop music and stands as his most complete pop album. Although the structure of the original album has been lost with the move to CD format, it is worth remembering that the first 5 songs appeared on side 1 of the album and the remainder on side 2. Viewed from this perspective, it is tempting to relate the title to the album structure: side 1 is wild and manic, while side 2 is calm and melodic. There are parallels in the number of songs and the number of instrumentals. Although Eno never considered hiself a musician, his underrated singing is put to great use on this album, and his songwriting skill is clearly in evidence. Others have given detailed descriptions of the songs, so I will restrict myself to the highlights: the typical lyrical silliness of "Backwater," hearing Kurt Schwitters's infamous "Ur Sonata" -- and more silly lyrics -- on "Kurt's Rejoinder" (presaging Eno's found music experiments of "My Life in the Bush of Ghosts") and the placid beauty of "Spider and I."

Fans of Eno's ambient music will find much to like here and fans who come by way of Roxy Music and/or "Here Come the Warm Jets" will find a quieter, more thoughful and complex album in "Before and After Science." This is music that rewards repeated listening and which, nearly 30 years after its debut, still seems timely and interesting.

4 out of 5 stars four and one half stars........2007-02-25

quirky funk (no one receiving), fingerpoppin' pop (backwater), early leanings toward ambient sounds (energy fools the magician and through hollow lands), and a generous helping of gorgeous slow-tempo numbers have this album from 1977 jumping all over the place, which is fine with me. this is creative music that is easily accessible, completely listenable. "another green world" seems to be the eno album from his song-based (pre-ambient) period that most people latch onto as his masterpiece, but i would argue that "before and after science" gives that outstanding lp a run for its money. great art-rock. highly recommended.

5 out of 5 stars A diamond in the rough of transition.......2006-06-03

Most reviewers have pointed out the presence of upbeat songs, ethereal lyrical explorations, and all out ambience on this album, and it's definitely full of gorgeous examples of all three. Although this is often classified as a transitional album because it houses so many varieties of songs, I think they work stunningly well together; While his first two solo albums are truly wonderful, the constant up-tempo pace was a bit relentless. "Another Green World" introduced the ambience to stunning effect, but I think the amalgamation of each style is fully realized on this album. The styles of song are interspersed just enough to balance the album out, and really "take you places". Plus, the songs in each style on this album can certainly rival the best of Eno's previous three albums: "Backwater" and "kurt's Rejoinder" match any highlight off "Warm Jets" or "Tiger Mountain", while "Here he Comes" and "Spider and I" easily match "Another Green World" in pure ethereal aesthetic. Moreover, everything on this album is quite catchy, and almost certainly mood-inducing. Just get it already!

4 out of 5 stars Man in transition........2005-06-14

Brian Eno's "Before and After Science", his last song-based album until the about-to-be-released (June, 2005) "Another Day on Earth" is in many ways the album you would hope it would be, reflective of his past, pointing in some ways to the future, very much texture-oriented music. On the other hand, while it has its moments, it fails to capture the immediacy of "Here Come the Warm Jets" or the beauty of "Discreet Music", but its still a great listen.

The album is really two sides, the first being more energetic, the second being a bit more ambient in feel. On the first side, there are three things that immediately draw you in-- the first is an overt use of vocal harmonies-- Eno's vocals are almost always in a harmony form with two or three voices singing the line ("No One Receiving", melodic pop song "Here He Comes"). The second is bassist Percy Jones, whose playing on a few of the tracks, in particular "Kurt's Rejoinder", is nothing short of astonishing. The third is the use of space-- look no further than standout "Energy Fools the Magician", where the four piece (Eno, Jones, drummer Phil Collins back when he was a drummer and guitarist Fred Frith) manipulate space as a fifth instrument to amazing effect.

The second side is much more in line with the ambient work of Eno's most recent albums-- a overwhelming feel of haunted ambient with vocals dominates. The entire side is full of fantastic material, from the haunted "Julie With..." to the lyrically brilliant and dark "Spider and I".

Overall, its a rewarding album that finds an artist caught in between forms, but even in transition, his brilliance shines through. Recommended.

4 out of 5 stars Another Eno World.......2005-03-24

The last in Eno's series of quirky, unique albums from the 70's before he moved totally into ambient music and expored his "rock" side only through production of other artists.

Like the titles that came before, Before and After Science finds Eno stringing together a series of offbeat numbers ranging from rock to pop to ambient and everything in between. This record was sequenced with most of the more ambient numbers at the end, unlike Another Green World's free admixture of styles. I personally liked the AGW way better, but fortunately we have the option these days of programming the songs in any order we want, so problem solved.

Eno's star-studded array of collaborators had become as legendary as his skewed sense of pop by this point, with everyone from Phil Manzanera to Phil Collins to Robert Fripp sitting in on this one. They were Eno veterans, but Eno's concurrent interest in German art-rock brings Can's Jaki Liebzeit and Moebius and Roedelius from Cluster to the table on Before and After Science.

My favourite moments: The atmospheric but too-short "Energy Fools the Magician" with the Brand X rhythm section of Percy Jones and Collins, with Fred Frith. The frantic new wave single "King's Lead Hat" (an anagram of Talking Heads) with Fripp. And all of the old "side 2" especially the beautiful "By This River" with Cluster. The piano has haunted me since I first heard it way-back-when, and I enjoy playing it myself. The closing "Spider and I" summons up a massive wall of synths-n-bass, and Eno's resigned vocal is quite fitting as he was about to leave the rock world (as a performer) for a very, very long time.

I have the earlier CD edition and to tell you the truth I don't notice anything radically different about the remaster, so the cheaper original CD might be a good bargain unless you're a real audiophile.

For such a sleek, high-flying superhero Spiderman seems to have surprisingly earthy tastes in rock & roll. No Jurassic 5. No Franz Ferdinand. Not even the White Stripes, whose color motif would have made perfect sense find space on his CD shelf. Instead, the latest installment of the comic book saga leans heavily toward explosive tunes by strapping tattooed men who aren't afraid to cry: Dashboard Confessional's "Vindicated," Hoobastank's "Did You," and Taking Back Sunday's "This Photograph Is Proof (I Know You Know)." Is it because underneath that sinister-looking costume Peter Parker is just another sensitive guy who only wants to be loved? Well, um, yeah. It's still a little hard to figure out how Train snuck past the gate, especially when the best material here comes from impeccably cool rockers like Lostprophets and Jet. --Aidin Vaziri

4 out of 5 stars A Good Soundtrack for Music Lovers.......2006-12-09

As far as movie soundtracks go, "Spider-Man 2" is decent with a variety of songs that any music lover would enjoy. The CD starts with the heavy hitting "Vindicated" by Dashboard Confessional and continues rockin' through Train's "Ordinary", Hoobastank's "Did You" and into the classic feel of "Hold On" by Jet and the rock ballad for Mary Jane, "Gifts and Curses" by Yellowcard. The soundtrack changes gears a bit with the funky beat of "Woman" by Maroon 5 and shifts back to the rock `n' roll style with "This Photograph Is Proof" by Taking Back Sunday and Midtown's "Give It Up". The vocals for "Lucky You" by lostprophets are a bit softer but still continue the rock theme along with "Who I Am" by Smile Empty Soul. "The Night That The Lights Went Out In NYC" by The Ataris is one of the more melodic rock ballads on the CD as is "We Are" by Ana, which quickly reveals a harder edge. "Someone to Die For" by Jimmy Gnecco definitely feels like a Queen influenced ballad probably due to Brian May's work on the song. "Spidey Suite" and "Doc Ock Suite", both by Danny Elfman, are orchestral numbers.

Train's "Ordinary" had to be my favorite. It's a well-rounded rock song with a great beat, vocals and sound. A close second would have to be Jet's "Hold On" for its classic rock/melodic feel, Midtown's "Give It Up" for its upbeat rhythm, "Someone to Die For" by Jimmy Gnecco and Brian May because it's reminiscent of Queen (since I'm a fan of their music, I'll be a bit biased towards that one) and "Doc Ock Suite" because it seems to be more inspired than the one for Spidey.

5 out of 5 stars Great CD. a must-have.......2006-06-27

I didn't really liked the movie. it's not bad, it's just boring, i think.
but this cd, is absolutely fantastic. the songs are amazing.
they fit well. the soundtracks flows perfectly.
the only songs i don't like so much are danny elfman's, they're not really my style, as they difer completely from the rest of the cd.
this is one of my favorite cds ever
it has great bands, some i knew before, some i didn't.
and it's definitely worth buying.

1 out of 5 stars Esto no es la banda sonora.......2006-06-22

Esto es un disco recopilatorio, no la partitura de Danny Elfman, que se la despachan con dos cortes. ¿Dónde está la original? ¿Ya está descatalogada? Entonces sólo queda una solución...

4 out of 5 stars Good for a soundtrack.......2005-12-29

Definitely better than the first movie's soundtrack. Vindicated by Dashboard Confessional is probably the most recognized song from this soundtrack and I find okay I'm not a big fan of Dashboard, but I was pleasantly surprised by this album. I even liked the songs by bands that I am not to fond of such as Yellowcard(builds up nicely in the middle and the violin adds a little something extra). Train and the Ataris also contribute good songs for the soundtrack. The tracks I would highlight are by Jet(are very good when they slow down), Midtown(totally rocks) and Taking Back Sunday(another good uptempo song). But the track I enjoy the most is "Someone To Die For" by Jimmy Gnecco(Ours) and Brian May(Queen) Jimmy has one of the best singing voices on the music sceen right now and Brian May has an incredible guitar sound all his own and both artists really sound good together. Definitely a sound track worth buying.

5 out of 5 stars hello, spiderman 3.......2005-08-31

If the songs on this CD are any indication of the quality of the songs on the soundtrack for 2007's "SpiderMan 3" soundtrack, I will be one of the 1st to buy it. An awesome CD...

2. Train- Ordinary (sucked 80/100)
3. Hoobastank- Did You (cool 90/100)
4. Jet- Hold On (not good 85/100)
5. Yellowcard- Gifts and Curses (top 3 100/100)
6. Maroon5- Woman (almost the worst song 60/100)
7. Taking Back Sunday- Photograph... (cool 90/100)
8. Midtown- Give It Up (great 99/100)
9. Lostprophets- Lucky You (the best song on here 110/100)
10. Smile Empty Soul- Who I Am (tie for best song 110/100)

5 out of 5 stars Kiss of the Spider Woman.......2005-07-18

With the talents of Chita Rivera, Terrence McNally and Kander & Ebb, you'd expect "Kiss of the Spider Woman" to be a tuneful and well written musical with a star performance. It is more than that.
"Kiss of the Spider Woman" is such a superlative musical. The score is perhaps Kander & Ebb's best since "Chicago." While the show only gets good after the wonderful "Dressing Them Up", it truely is perfect for the show. With tender moments ("Dear One", "Mama It's Me), fun ("Where you Are", "Gimme Love"), rolliciking, ("The Day after That") and chilling (The Title Song, "Anything for Him") The score is tuneful and versitile.
We can hear snippets of McNally's chilling libretto. I have read it, and the final scene gives me the chills.
In the performance department, Chita Rivera gives a commanding and masterful performance as Aurora. She is better than any 25 year old around.
Brent Carver is also great in the role of Molina-the gay window dresser. He sings and acts superbly. However, recently, I have grown to enjoy Mr. Anthony Crivello's performance. Starting with his haunting, yet tender section in "Dear One" and ending with his incredible "The Day After That", Crivello gives a terriffic performance.
I recomend this to any Kander & Ebb or Broadway fan, or anyone interested in listeting to the best musical of the 90s, ranking with "Ragtime." Wonderful!

5 out of 5 stars Great Kander & Ebb Score!.......2005-06-25

When I originally saw this show, I wasn't exactly sure how the Oscar-winning movie would translate into a musical. A knockout! Brent Carver & Chita Rivera, Tony winners for their roles as Molina & The Spider Woman, respectively, translate marvelously on this cd.

Kander & Ebb's score is highly entertaining, with many standout numbers. Hightlights include:

Her Name Is Aurora
Dear One
Where You Are
You Could Never Shame Me
She's A Woman
Gimme Love
Kiss Of The Spider Woman
Only In The Movies

While not as brilliant as "Chicago", this Kander/Ebb score is every bit as good (or better) that their "Cabaret" score!

A well-deserved win for Best Musical!

4 out of 5 stars Oh, Gracious One, Thanks A Lot!.......2005-05-31

Kander and Ebb will be remembered for Chicago and Cabaret... but if there's justice in the world, they'll also be remembered for Kiss of the Spider Woman, one of the most haunting musicals ever to grace the Great White Way (West End, Toronto, et al).

The score is timeless and capitivating (with the exception of "Marta", which played so much better on stage but comes across like one big yawn on the recording).

I know most people don't like her, but Chita is Chita! She holds her own against any twenty year old on the stage today.

Brent Carver is at his best here, and it isn't hard to understand why he walked away with a Tony. (What's more odd to me is that he didn't take one for Parade as well!) While he doesn't always sound technically perfect (sometimes he stretches his voice a tad too thin), it is that very quality that makes him so perfect. Of the nine Molinas I've seen (I'm a fan, ok?), Mr. Carver is the only one to play the role with so much sadness and regret. Everyone else seems so caught up in "the gay thing" (swishy hands and such are one thing, but I've seen Molinas who lisp and make me agree with Valentin about the "prissy whine") that they forget Molina is a real person!

Anthony Crivello is decent enough, but he does little to make Valentin likeable. His "Day After That" is a little too over-the-top for my taste. Brian Stokes Mitchell is a far better Valentin.

Honestly, I think everyone should own both recordings, but if you('re sane and) only want one, stick with the original. Brent Carver's "Dressing Them Up", "Anything For Him", and "She's a Woman" are worth overlooking any shortcomings this disc may have.

4 out of 5 stars Chita Rivera in a sublime performance.......2004-08-15

KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN is a fabulous musical version of the Manuel Puig novel. The musical originally opened in London following a season in Toronto, before opening on Broadway. Chita Rivera originated the role of Aurora, the spider woman, who haunts the dreams of Molina (Brent Carver), a convicted sex-offender. Sharing Molina's prison-cell is Valentin (Anthony Crivello), and together they form a friendship. Aurora remains a spectre in their complicated relationship, which is tested to its limits when Molina comes up for parole and Valentin asks him to deliver some messages, which might endanger Molina's freedom. Chita Rivera gives a galvanising performance as Aurora, the Kander-Ebb score suits her voice to a tee, especially the seductively-catchy "Where You Are". Brent Carver gives Molina a frailty and strength which is heartbreaking. Anthony Crivello is heartstopping in the role of the manipulative Valentin. Also check out the `New Broadway Cast Recording' which was made after Vanessa Williams, Howard McGillin and Brian Stokes Mitchell took over the lead roles.

4 out of 5 stars Original Toronto / London / Broadway cast.......2004-02-03

This production of KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN premiered in Toronto in June 1992. As a theatre reviewer I atteneded the opening night performance. It is rare that a show is so near perfect at this early stage in its life. The first act needed some trimming and the pacing was uneven, but the score and performances were nothing short of dazzling. The production played Toronto through the summer of 1992 the opened in London for a six month run, then the cast moved to Broadway where the show deservedly won the 1993 Tony for Best Musical and Tonys were won by the three stars.

This CD was made during the show's London run and is billed the "original cast recording" leaving the location subject to debate. Local pride makes me think of this as the original Toronto cast. Since it was recorded in London, I suppose technically it s the original London cast, and since the same cast opened it on Broadway it is also the original Broadway cast!

Whatever label you use, it is a fine recording. Chita Rivera may have been too old for Aurora but the character is ageless...a memory frozen in Molina's mind. And she acted, sang and danced the hell out of the part! The huskiness in her voice only adds to the enigma. Brent Carver and Antony Crivello were both perfect choices for the mis-matched cell mates - each man using the other to advance his own cause. This is not a true romantic piece...Even when Valentin gives himself to Molina it is part of a plot to manipulate him.

Still, Kander and Ebb have found so much heart in this story: "Dear One" is one of the most beautiful songs the partners have ever written. (In an interview, John Kander told me this was his favourite number in the score. Fred Ebb's favourite was the song "Dressing Them Up" where he got to show off his lyric writing abilities.) "You Could Never Shame Me" has become an anthem that every closeted gay man wishes to hear from his own parents. Listen to the longing that comes through in Carver's sensitive reading of "She's a Woman." The score sometimes goes off the rails..the "Morphne Tango" was one number that Toronto critics expected to be dropped and yet it's still there. Overall it's another first rate show from Kander and Ebb (and Terrence McNally who adapted Manuel Puig's novel.)

The recording includes most of the major musical material and a few lines of dialogue. The packaging includes background notes, a detailed synopsis and libretto packed with many color photos of the production.

As the musical enetered its second year in New York the original cast members departed and Vanessa Williams was signed to play Aurora (A younger more sensual Aurora) with Howard McGillan and Brian Stokes Mitchell. A new "Broadway" cast recording was made by Mercury which included more of the score as well as several key dialogue seuqnces (very abridged) so the recording gave the listener a sense of hearing the full show. Because it communicates more of the drama of the piece, the second recording is slightly preferable but the performances of the original cast remain unbeatable!

5 out of 5 stars Sway by Michael Buble.......2007-07-20

The title song was, when I purchased this album, of little interest to me. However, the multiple versions of SWAY, including the longer play version, make the entire album worth the price....particularly if you really enjoy Latin rhythms and the wonderful voice of Michael Buble.

1 out of 5 stars Not What I Thought.......2007-06-08

Because I'm a Buble fan, I thought it might have various songs from the movie "Spiderman." I was wrong...it was one long recording of the same song....

5 out of 5 stars Love it!.......2006-08-07

I am a big fan of Michael Buble, and I was happy to see that several versions of SWAY were on this cd. Very fun mixes. I have even been enjoying the SpiderMan song, much to my surprise.

I wanted the version of SWAY from the Vegas CD, but you can't download just that song, and I didn't want to purchase the whole cd.

If you're a fan, you'll enjoy the mixes.

1 out of 5 stars waste of money.......2006-07-09

This CD is for you if you are a die hard Spider Man fan or a groupie of the same song of sway remixed 6 different ways. As for me, I got a headache.

5 out of 5 stars Buble & Spiderman - Who Woulda Thunk It.......2006-05-30

I was bowled over by Michael Bublé's version of the Spiderman theme. It's a full of energy retro classic. Who woulda thunk that the Sipderman theme done in a big band style would work? Not me for sure. The corny lyrics and old-time yet modern sound meld into a complete whole that is near impossible to resist. This will be part of my daily playlist for the foreseeable future.

P.S. I must admit to only buying the Spiderman cut from this CD on iTunes.

5 out of 5 stars Return to Sanity.......2005-07-27

Before Monty Python, before the Beatles, before "'Enery the Aigth Oi Am" there was the subtle, sweet, insdious humor of Flanders and Swann, and their lyrics remain part of the recognition rituals of Ivy Leaguers of the sixties. For any aging hippies or yuppies who find life WAY more stressful than we ever expected, and for whom the down side of alcohol, sex, and drugs has become apparent, I recommend listening several times to "In the Bath". It raises a cry for peace among the nations by inviting all the leaders to sit congenially steaming in a communal bathtub. And they reminding us of our essential self-interest when they add the proviso "as long as Swann and Flanders get the end without the taps." On those nights when we suspect that there isn't any point to it all, reach for the Flanders and Swann. They won't convince you there is any meaning to life, but they'll make it a lot easier to bear. Don't even try to do without it.

5 out of 5 stars Have Some Madeira.......2005-07-06

Not every line in Flanders and Swann has become part of our 37-year marriage, but many have. As our turntables fail, we are pleased that we can relive all the fun stuff we used to collect. Nothing is like this duo, especially what you usually hear as French horn by Mozart converted into "I found that horn go(r)ne." And, of course,
"Have some Madeira, m'dear" is an all-time favorite.

5 out of 5 stars British humour at its best.......2003-03-15

When I started out as a teacher of English, I had the most wonderful colleague as a mentor -- when she retired she gave me three LPs with much of what is on these CDs, and it must be one of the best gifts I have ever been given. Practically all of it makes me smile or laugh out loud (although I must admit that some, like The Armadillo and Slow Train, make me so melancholy that I can just feel my lower lip tremble and my eyes fill up). How can you beat lines like "Hail to thee, blithe Wompom", or "The English are moral, the English are good / And clever, and modest, and misunderstood"? I find they make great listening exercises for my teenaged students as well -- they consider it ancient, but incredibly funny!

5 out of 5 stars If you haven't heard this..........2003-01-16

The great comedic pairing of the late Michael Flanders (vocals) and Donald Swann (piano and occasional vocals) must surely rank among the hall of fame of comic singers and songwriters. Descended from the British music hall tradition, these two men wrote and performed music which still sparkles with wit today, some 40 or more years since it was recorded.

After being told to take up singing as a means of strengthening his polio-weakened lungs, the wheelchair-bound Flanders teamed up with pianist Swann and proceeded to write such classic songs as "The Hippo Song (Mud Mud Glorious Mud)", "The Gasman Cometh", "The Gnu Song", "A Transport of Delight" and many others. As well as a gently satirical spirit, all these songs feature the sublime wordplay and interplay of both men.

The first two discs of this box set are actual concerts - "At The Drop Of A Hat" and its successor "At The Drop Of Another Hat". Recorded at the height of the duo's popularity and form, the sound quality is surprisingly good for recordings this old.

"At The Drop Of A Hat" opens with three of the Flanders and Swann classics. "Transport Of Delight", a song in praise of the "97 horsepower omnibus" features the wonderful harmonies of the duo on lines like "any more fares" and Flanders' dead-on impression of a London busdriver "Geddardait, we're full right up inside". "Song of Reproduction" deals with the new, as it was then, stereo technology and features Flanders delivering an incredible monologue using every conceivable piece of audiophile jargon. "The Gnu Song" (in which "gnu" is pronounced phonetically) is a real treat. The audience's reaction to the reappearance of the gnu is superb.
As well as this opening trio, the disc features Flanders' snippets of "Songs For Our Time" (in which he experiments with conventions of hit songs), "Song of the Weather" (a rundown of English weather throughout the year), "The Reluctant Cannibal" (featuring Swann in the tititular role and the chorus "I can't eat people/I won't eat people/eatin' people is wrong"), Swann's foray into Greek folksong "Kokraki" and the justifiably famous "Madeira M'Dear". The performance ends with a rousing version of "The Hippo Song".
Flanders is in fine voice throughout and his comments introducing each song are delivered with deadpan accuracy. The story behind "The Gnu Song" is an absolute masterpiece. Flanders' monologue about the creation of "Greensleeves" is also superb - "'Greenfleeves'. That's an interesting name for a fong" (referencing old English script) being just a taste.

"Another Hat" begins in equally fine form with "Gasman Cometh" and "Ill Wind". "Gasman", presaged as "a tale of unending domestic upheaval", is sure to have most people who've ever dealt with unreliable tradesmen nodding in agreement, while "Ill Wind" is Flanders' attempt at setting words to a French horn concerto featuring the immortal lines "I lost that horn/lost that horn/lost that horn/found that horn/gorn". The performance continues with Swann's Russian/English song "In The Desert", the ending of which is truly side-splitting. "All Gall" (a reinterpretation of "This Old Man" to fit then-French President Charles de Gaulle) is a little dated but very cleverly done. "Song of Patriotic Prejudice", with its introduction and opening lines grabbing the audience's attention is another triumph, while the "Hippo Encore" is a great end to the performance.
Again Flanders is at his peak. His loving description of the Spanish olive-stuffers ("Olividados") and his superb story about flying ("By Air") are both brilliant examples of the shaggy dog story.
My favourite from both of these discs would have to be "First and Second Law". Flanders decides to educate Swann in elementary science and picks on the first and second laws of thermodynamics ("heat is work and work is heat" and "heat cannot of itself pass from one body to a hotter body") and the repetition of these phrases in time to Swann's barely-there piano accompaniment is one of the finest moments in British comedy.

The third disc is largely forgettable. It begins with a series of animal-related songs performed in a studio and without much of Flanders' rambling introductions. "Warthog" has its moments, while the others were clearly not performed in front of an audience for a reason. "Wompom" is also mildly diverting, presenting a story about a made-up substance which is the answer to everything.
The rest of the disc is then filled out with much earlier material in a rather poorly-recorded concert. "20 Tons of TNT" (related to the calculation the pair had done which gave that as the amount of TNT per person on the planet at the time) provides food for thought, but little more.

Is this box set for everyone? No. Much of the humour both within and without the songs does require a bit of background knowledge to what was going on in Britain and Europe at the time (1960s), John Profumo is referenced a few times as well as Charles de Gaulle and the Common Market, while a smattering of classical music knowledge can help out a bit with Swann's work and "Ill Wind". The fact that my grandfather (who's in his late 70s) recalls hearing these songs and laughing may give an indication as to the age of some of the subject matter. Equally the fact that "First and Second Law" references an awful lot of physics might do the same.

Nevertheless, for anyone who loves British humour done in a gentle manner or who is interested in the source of "mud mud glorious mud/nothing quite like it for cooling the blood", give these CDs some serious consideration.

5 out of 5 stars Gentle Satire.......2002-04-03

I've been singing Flanders and Swann every day In the Bath since I first heard them in 1964. If you don't know them, think Gilbert and Sullivan by way of English music hall and Noel Coward, with a bit of Tom Lehrer musical satire and classic Bob Newhart or Charlie Manna monologues. F&S commented gently on their times: "The purpose of satire, it has been rightly said, is to strip away the veneer of comfortable illusion and cozy half-truth. And our job, as I see it, is to put it back again." Quite simply the best comic songs and patter of the 20th century. Michael died in 1975, Donald in 1994. Goodnight, Mabel Figworthy, wherever you are.

Here are some samples of Michael's verbal wit.

Wordplay:
- "A Transport of Delight," their song of the pleasures of the double-decker bus "has recently been adopted as the theme song of the Underground resistance movement."
- Speculating that Henry VIII wrote Greensleeves: "and the royalties go to royalty."
- About a tennis referee late in the day: "the umpire upon whom the sun never sets."
- Explaining how he was hoisted in his wheelchair onto airliners by a fork lift: "Why they need a great machine like that to lift forks I do not know. Well, they're only plastic, now, aren't they?"
- On status symbols: "The object is to Gunga Din your neighbor: 'I'm a better man than you' is the acid test," and, "let's bang our status cymbals with the best."
- To a disenchanted cannibal: "You used to be a regular anthropophagi."
- Of a lecher: "And he said as he hastened to put out the cat, the wine, his cigar, and the lamps," while the girl "lowered her standards by raising her glass, her courage, her eyes, and his hopes."
- At the corrida d'olivas (the Andorran festival of olive stuffing, not to be confused with the Spanish corrida de toros, or bullfight): "And a great cry goes up of Ole! He has made an 'ol."
- "It's no good going up to a scientist and saying to him like you would to anybody else, 'Good morning, how are you, lend me a quid, and so on.' He'll just glare at you, or make a rude retort."

Throw-aways
- During the height of the cold war the Soviet Union sent the Moscow Ballet on a world tour. Donald sang one chorus of the Hippopotamus Song "mud, mud, glorious mud - nothing quite like it for cooling the blood" in Russian. Michael: "That should improve our cultural relations."
- During the 1963 Mandy Rice-Davies and Christine Keeler scandal: "None of that going around saying no smoke without fire. Nil cumbustibus, Profumo." Also, from "Friendly Duet," "such models of friendship are precious and rare, while the friendship of models is not."
- "Now if you're writing a musical, as I'm sure practically all of you are, . . ."
- Of Donald: "You know that no one has a higher regard for your music . . . than you do yourself. I merely meant that you are not great because you are not dead. If you wish to be great you must stop composing and start decomposing."
- "We never found a rhyme for (Soviet Premier Nikita) "Kruschev" until he was dead: Did he die or was he "pushed off"?"
- "We spent two dreadful, uh, delightful years, entertaining the Americans whose need, let's face it, is greater even than yours. Of course, when we're over there we say that the other way 'round."
- "No matter what you may say about the Germans, and who doesn't . . ."
- "Some of the songs that have made our names a household word, like slop-bucket . . ."
- "They've started testing cars now. They started at 10 years, then 5, now three. There's even some talk of having them tested before they leave the factory."

Absurdities
- "I'm delirious about our new oven fitted with the eye-level grill. This means that without my having to bend down the hot fat can squirt straight into my eye."
- A spectator during the construction of Stonehenge: "So, it's not going to be lived in. Well, that's something anyway. So what is it, then? It's a what?! A calendar?! A bit big for a calendar isn't it? You'd look pretty foolish with that on your desk."
- "Donald knocked himself out this morning. Got one of those new pop-up toasters. Nasty things."

Incredible multiple rhymes:
- "The fair hippoptama he aimed to entice from her seat on her hilltop above, as she hadn't got a ma to give her advice, went tip-toeing down to her love."
- Of Josephine: "Nonsense, said Bonaparte. She lives on her own, apart, in her own apartment."
- "Oh let us be married if our parents don't mind. We'd be happy and inseparable. Inextricably entwined. We'd live happily every after, said the Honeysuckle to the Bindweed."
- "And you'll always see a single lace-less left-hand leather boot. A bootless British river bank's a shock. We leave them there at midnight, you can track a member's route by the alternating print of boot and sock."

What's a woebegone wall-crawler to do? Arachnid-powered superteen Peter Parker's all-too-human foibles are never far from the heart of director Sam Raimi's second installment of the Spider-Man saga, giving it an emotional resonance that sets it smartly apart from its summer blockbuster competition. But while Raimi and star Toby McGuire help emotionally ground the film, its stunning CGI effects -- and this robust, aggressive orchestral score by Danny Elfman -- insure we never forget this is no mere soap opera. The composer returns with a vengeance to the larger-than-life, crowd-pleasing sensibility of his acclaimed work on Batman and its sequel, though he occasionally seasons it with sparing dashes of the post-modern flirtations of his Hulk score. Elfman conjures his formula masterfully, bookending a suitably moody, rhythmically anxious new theme for Dr. Octopus with a brassy reprise of villainy-past on "The Goblin Returns." Though leavened by more emotionally bright passages, it's a score largely dominated by the dark, brooding comic book melodramatics that are the favorite of so many Elfman acolytes. --Jerry McCulley

5 out of 5 stars This is One of Elfman's Best Scores!!!!.......2007-05-09

I really love this cd. ive always wanted to hear the main title from the movie and when i got this cd i was really happy and when i heard it i felt like i was watching the movie again. Elfman is one of my favorite and best composers since John Williams!!! This is a MUST have!!!!

4 out of 5 stars Not the best soundtrack I've heard.......2007-03-09

I own a lot of soundtracks and this is not one of the best. The music is great when the movie is playing but loses something on its own.

3 out of 5 stars Missing some music pieces.......2006-10-14

I decided to buy this CD after wanting a piece played in Spider-Man 2 SO badly. I was furious when I listened to this and didn't find it anywhere. The piece I was looking for was the piano piece during the scene when Peter hugs Aunt May when she's packing. You'd think it would be in 'Ant May Packs' but it's not. It is also missing some other great pieces from the movie. A bit of a let down...

3 out of 5 stars A well Motion Picture Score........2006-02-10

This Orignal Motion Picture score was great becuase of the music that Danny Elfman used on this Cd. I love #1"Main Titles",#2,and I love the Doc Ock theme. I really wish that they would of put in the Pizza Delivery when Peter delivers the pizza's. And when Doc Ock puts his arms up for the first time. But I love this motion picture score soundtrack. It's a great score to listin to. I highly recommend it! And it's a 48 minute soundtrack and the music in the film wasn't all in the soundtrack. But Danny Elfman did an awesome job with this Orignal Motion Picture Score for Spider-Man 2!

5 out of 5 stars great buy .......2006-01-20

this cd is a great buy for spider-man fans because it includes most of the music score but not all. my favorite tracks are track #1 whick the title theme, track #7 which is titled the mugging/peters turmoil peters turmoil is the first 3 minuets and is also the theme when peter says I'm spider-man no more, I also like track #9 which is titled hes back, track #14 which is titled at long last love, and finnaly the classic but annoyingly catchy track #15 which is raindrops keep fallin on my head. other themes on this cd are train/appreciation which is track #10. also there is the track titled the goblins returns which includes a little of the green goblin theme.
