Best S-Tone Inc Ever, Masterpiece !.......2006-09-25

This is so far the best S-Tone Inc for me, enjoy the latin Bossa Jazzy sound a lot. If you're fun of De-Phazz or Mo' Horizons, go for this one and for sure you'll find it so inspirational and so much more than what you've been expected !

Great tunes, bad sound........2004-07-13

The tunes are infectious, and this is great driving music. In fact, it sounds best in the car while roaring down the highway. Through headphones, though, the listener notices that there's nothing impressive about the sound, engineering, etc.

S-Tone Inc.'s newest album!.......2002-09-28

This will be hard to find, as the group's real name is "S-Tone Inc." I didn't think Amazon[.com] had this b'cause I couldn't find it until I found out the title of the cd.

But anyway, this is the same group that released Free Spirit and Love Unlimited. However that is where the similarities end. THe sound of Sobernatural is totally different from the others, as this has far more of a latin flavor and bossa inspiration where as the previous two dabbed on the border of contemporary in many ways. You can probably attribute the "new" sound to the fact that S-Tone Inc. is no longer with Milano - and is with Schema, the same label that features artists Nicola Conte, Soulstance, Les Hommes and I believe Les Gammas and released the Break & Bossa series. Maybe this would explain the incredible remake of "Arejar" as done by Soulstance on Brazilectro.

All in all, I'd rate this one a bit above the previous two releases. However I don't think that the tracks capture quite the soulfulness of Ainda Sonhar or the original Arejar. The Cd starts out with "In the Mood for Love", andtakes you through an excursion of their new sound - very jazzy. The middle of the album will hit you with a familiar track: "La boca del rio", which is phenomenal IMO. And finally the CD winds down nicely with Entre o ceus e a terra, which tickles your ear with samples from some of their older work, and ends with Effetto Notte.

Good release - I'd definitely recommend it to hard core S-Tone Inc. fans. As the sound is closer to what fans probably expected of the previous two albums, it isnt' quite as deep. You'll also get a kick out of how S-tone INc. sample some of their older tracks (Arejar/Saudade/Ainda Sonhar) along with Raccoon's "Sensecao". Enjoy, and here is the track selection:
