Surround Records with the support of Oracle Audio Music, Sound Design and Midwest Pro Audio (formally Pearl Sound Studios) was one of the first to complete production of an electronic music album composed, produced and mixed for 5.1 Surround Sound Reproduction: "SPACE or DREAM of LIFE." You must have a DTS system to play this disc.

The diversity of electronic music, often comprising a strong rhythm structure, combined with environmental effects and a detailed, layered sound design, make electronic and especially techno music the perfect media for multi-channel surround sound reproduction and a three-dimensional surround sound experience, says Alexandr, talking to High Fidelity Review.

"DVD-Audio allows us to fully enter into the third age of reproduced sound: ‘three-dimensional sound realism’. The multi-channel surround music experience is now available to the average consumer, which affords new opportunities for artists to express themselves".

The Surround Records label was founded purely to produce original music in surround. "With my project ‘Space or Dream of Life’ I am able to locate and produce movement of sounds in a three-dimensional sound field and use that as a main creative element."

‘Space or Dream of Life’, produced with the support of Oracle Audio Music, Sound Design and Midwest Pro Audio (formerly Pearl Sound Studios) is already available as a multi-channel DTS music disc, but the DVD-audio version, which will be released by year-end, will include high-resolution loss-less audio and an interactive story-menu, consisting of futuristic multimedia artwork.

Alexandr points out that: "Coming from a classical music background I was always looking at sound and acoustics as a main creative element of music perception. In my early years I was always searching for the perfect location in a room to play one of my instruments and using its acoustics to complement the performance."

‘Space or Dream of Life’ was inspired by Detroit techno music and performances by legendary DJs like Kevin Saunderson, Derrick May, Juan Atkins and Carl Craig, alongside ‘Hyperspace Theory of Everything’ by American scientist Michio Kaku. The disc is dedicated to the human understanding of reality and the universe.

This composition includes electronic and instrumental lines as well as a vocal part. To underscore the surround nature of music the author making location of sound as a main creative element of this composition, after dramatic culmination vocal filling into sound field with reliable futuristic presence that can be heard only in 5.1 surround sound reproduction and can be rediscovered every time you change your listening position.

"Breeze"
is a 3-dimensional music ballet there every sound is alive and moving with the bit in 3-Dimensional sound field. The wall of sound traveling in multiple directions complimenting harmony and melody lines will take your imagination to the frontiers and landscapes of new worlds.

Feb 1, 2003, United Entertainment Media, Surround Profession Magazine: Best New 5.1 Composition award goes to Alexandr Jero of Surround Records for his composition entitled Space or Dream of Life. The Best New 5.1 Composition, which recognizes the technical and artistic skill necessary to actually create a music composition in 5.1 surround sound, was won by Jero from Surround Records in Detroit for Space or Dream of Life. The judges described this surround creation as "comfortably thought-provoking… and, while obviously composed to enhance a video presentation, this New Age expression evoked many images just from the surround music alone."

I heard this dts cd at my friends place back in spring 2004.He bought it on Amazon and I really wanted to!Thats when I joined Amazon spring 2004 I must say this multichannel dts cd is outstanding.I love space electronic music and this cd has the mood for it. Whatever mood Im in relaxing, or high energy ,this is what to listen to!Reading other reviews on this cd it is recorded at a moderetly low level for dts.I own other dts samplers and there much louder then this one.The music really takes you away at night when staring out at our city stars in the sky.It really takes the mind on a journey like that.I know Im a new fan of this musician I hope there will be other recordings in the near future by him.Its worth it.

I just get my new car, I let them install dvd option with this "surround sound" (just cost me a couple dollars to my regular car payment), and finally get a date with the girl I met at Clutch Cargos Night Club, She was so Gorgeous that I even had a hard time just "Breaking the Ice". By the end of our date I was almost thinking THAT is not going to heppend. I was taking her home and we stop by the lake, I tern on "Breez" song from this album, and gays, I have to tell you, I don't know anithing about "surround sound", but becose of this "3-Dimensional Music Experience" I get exectly that I want, I am dating this girl ever since.
