Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars makes me wanna get into DnB again.......2007-07-05

Really dark & atmospheric....similar to Ram Trilogy, Ed Rush & Optical...though I admit I stopped listening to DnB back in 1999 when it got sorta repetitive for me. But this stuff is heavy and fast with a synthetic alien sound -- definitely not like the organic, "feel good" DnB that has pianos & divas yelling over the beats which I don't particularly care for (eg High Contrast). Anyway, when the rumbling bass kicks in on the first track "Arrakis" you're gonna be like "whoa". The tracks on the Disc 2 Mix are blended well and the setlist has a good buildup from beginning to end.

5 out of 5 stars Addicting Album.......2007-05-12

For any person who enjoys drum and bass or even if they don't. The beats are intelligent and fantastic. Each song on the record has great appeal, I have listened to this album over and over again. The distinct sound that Black Sun Empire has can really be appreciated on this album. The song "Stasis" is one of the best dnb songs I have ever heard.

5 out of 5 stars best D n B artist for sure.......2007-04-17

b negative is the sickest song of all times,
and scorned(dont know why 2nd cd isnt listed here) is the most beautiful and up lifitng d n b song i ve heard.
who ever thinks that d n b is boring with this album will see its whole beauty

5 out of 5 stars black sun empire just rocks.......2006-04-10

another superb mix, everything has great breakdowns, it all flows together to create just a great sound, good hard music, that still has a lot of groove to it, very well done...

5 out of 5 stars Sweet Jesus!.......2005-11-06

As previous reviewers stated, this is one of the best produced CDs I have ever heard. The bass H-I-T-S, and sounds fantastic!! All the levels are correct, so theres no distortion at loud volumes and all aspects of this disc shine. I have a good system in my car, and seriously cannot get enough of this CD. But, enough about the technical merits of this album, the music is fantastic as well. This is one of 2-3 CDs that I have ever listened to where every track is consistently good. I am definitely looking forward to hearing more from these guys in the future.

5 out of 5 stars Great Rollicking Guitar RockýWith Wit.......2000-05-04

The title cut is a classic, and Klein plays guitar as well as she writes: with ferocious flair and a sense of fun. Well-known for her work with Joan Osborne, PM Dawn and other acts, she is a monster on her axe and a delight on all of this exceptional album.

5 out of 5 stars Marvelous! This is the best I've heard for a long time.......2000-01-20

I spent a good time with this CD! "Rain" is the best one on "Driving you insane"! The guitar-solo is fabolous! In "Peace in Mind" I thought I could hear Jimi Hendrix play! Very RAW! Wait, "Silent Day, Silent Night" is the best one! Ann's voice sounds more than great! "Driving you insane" is a very psychadelic song! Every time you hear it, it's getting better! "Like a Flow" sounds a little bit trippy! "Piece" is a fast and earthy song! "Like a Flow" is very trippy! "I wanna do ya" is very happy and positive. It spreads a very good tune! Wow, "Like a Flow" rocks! I think "Simple Matters" is a very dark but beatiful track! Very melancholic!. "This Love I hate" is the only Instrumental-track, also great with a melodic and clear fingerpicking! At "Cowboy Poets" , 'tears are running down my face!' Very, very romantic! A fine journey! A fantastic album, with only good songs on it! And I can't get "Silent Day, Silent Night" out of my head! Great work! Buy it! Buy it! Buy it! Buy it! A must!
