Album Description
Driving World-Beat Ethno-Fusion! - Pumping rhythms of the wild... droning, eternal voices of an ancient future exotic nature sounds and rapid-fire percussion create an inter-dimensional journey into mindless spirit. Earthy didgeridoo with Australian aboriginal voices blend with UK techno-shamanic, traditional Native American Peyote chant, NYC trip-hop and Afro-Caribbean tribal rhythms... all fused into a thrilling dance compilation.Customer Reviews:
Techno music. .......2005-11-11
Wow!.......2003-11-27
I'm constantly looking for great high-energy music for use when I'm working. This CD is almost too perfect in that regard as it is the type of music I can put on, go to work, and POOF -- 4 hours vanish.
My feet are dancing, my fingers are drumming, and my mind is in the zone. Great beat, nice didgeridoo, and awesome percussion throughout.
This sound reminds me of the high energy music that would emerge if you could somehow mix the music from the Afro Celts, Nomad (say ASIN: B000001ZBG), and Deep Forest. Delicious :)
I'm no trance expert so can't comment on its "trance purity", etc.
I'm no dancer so I can't comment on the type of dance genre this music best fits. Apparently I'm thinking of becoming a dancer, though, as I seem to have this urge to go dancing through the house like a wild man whenever this CD is playing :)
Summary: I agree with the summary on the back of the CD, "Pumping rhythms of the wild ... droning, eternal voices of an ancient-future ... exotic nature sounds and rapid-fire percussion create an inter-dimensional journey into mindless spirit". I wish I would have said that :) ***Highly Recommended***

Customer Reviews:
I Admit, I Kinda Like It.......2003-12-29
The new version of "New Years Day" is done by David Grund. It's the longest track on the album at 7:14. I'm so gonna play this song on New Years Day. Charles Feelgood returns with his cover-up of Herbie Hancock's "Rock It". Charles Feelgood was in volume one with "Safety Dance". DJ Irene & George Centeno return with the song "Blue Monday". Their version sounds like something played at an extreme sports event. This isn't the first covep up of "Blue Monday" I've heard. I have Orgy's version from 1999. DJ Irene & George Centeno were in volume one with their remaster of "Cars". My favorite track on here is How Hard & Sanz One's "Crazy Train". Oddly enough, that version still brought in the spirit of Ozzy Osbourne's version. I love it. DJ Cer's "Jam On It" is the shortest track on the album at 2:12. Cer's version had a nice 80s feel to it. Another odd but nice thing on the disc. DJ Cer was also in volume one with "I.O.U.". Roland Richards' "Electric Avenue" and Organica's "Burning Down The House" are pretty ordinary. I'm not a magnet to that. I enjoy Pleasurehead's "Final Countdown". No reason at all I like it. Static Revenger returns with "What Boys Like". SR did a cover up of Berlin's "Sex (I'm A...)" and was in volume one. Chris The Greek's "Africa" in here. Since I mentioned it, I hope the people in Africa are having a nice Kwanzaa. Another familiar face here is Mijangos. Mijangos was in volume one with "Don't You Want Me". Now Mijangos is back with "Promises" and lastly, Kid Icarus' "You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)" is in this album as well. The last three are more ordinary club mixes. Just not too turned on by it.
Why didn't the people who compiled this up and in "Love Bites" by QED? That was an 80s song by Def Leppard. I love QED's version. It got to be played on US radio. This is like the 80s remake of the year. I still like the CD.
Not worth the purchase.......2003-10-26

The effort to categorize and document the history of electronic dance music has intensified over the past few years, resulting in countless CD compilations and several cinematic documentaries. The latest is Better Living Through Circuitry, and the soundtrack suggests an attempt to link the current sounds to the industrial music movement of the 1980s. Representing the old school are Psychic TV and Meat Beat Manifesto, the latter of which shows up with "Money for E," a 1987 track from their prolific (and arguably most interesting) foray into acid-house dance music. Although the disc is weighted down with label-affiliated B-list tracks from Keoki and Electric Skychurch, the inclusion of Roni Size's revolutionary "Brown Paper Bag" and Future Sound of London's classic "Expander (Remix)" lend the collection a solid air of credibility. Although trying to capture the essence of the electronic dance underground in a mere 70 minutes is an impossible task, Better Living Through Circuitry makes an enjoyable and interesting introduction. --David PrinceAlbum Details

Great music, so-so sound bytes.......2001-05-05
A perfect look into the Digital Underground........2000-05-22
Keoki's "Caterpillar" DJ Spooky's "Peace in Zaire." This is actually a remix of Sublime's "Doin' Time," created into a dance beat. Roni Size's "Brown Paper Bag" Electric Skychurch, "Deus" and of course, Crystal Method's "Now is the time"
If you do NOT know all too much about dance music, specifically electronica and techno, this CD is a must. Even for those of us who know this genre fairly well, it's an ideal compilation to bring some of the best artists together.
A great techno compilation!.......2000-05-05
P.S. MBM RULES!
