Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Superb!.......2006-05-09

I never thought some day I'd buy an Ayumi Hamasaki CD. But when I read "Trance" and those renowned DJs, such as Ferry Corsten and Armin Van Buuren, I thought: OK, why not. And now I can tell you that this is one of my favorites dance albums.

5 out of 5 stars worth your money.......2005-07-17

seriously, this cd is tight. defentily worth your bang for your buck. my wife listen's too her music all the time and she just got back from tokyo and stoked me out with this cd. if you like "velfare cyber trance's" cd's, this is a must buy. especially if you drive in the city at night or ride your rice rocket, this is the bomb stuff to listen to while dodgeing cars. enjoy.

i'm out

Due to the dance floor being much more into the house/tribal vibe as of lately, Ayumi's very nice and beautiful trance sound combined with Ayumi's voice combines a very nice and beautiful trance sound. She proves that JPop can be played on the dance floor once remixed. So, if you like trance, go for it, although I do not understand the Japanese language, its still a trance topping along with her amazing voice lent to brilliantly mixed remixes.

Though some say Ayu (Ayumi Hamasaki) is brilliant, this will certainly not appeal to everyone.

^_^

Ayumi has three 'cyber trance' albums available but this first one is still the BEST out there!! Each remix is a complete reinvention of Ayumi's original songs...and all of them are great. My notable mentions are the 'Above and Beyond' remix of 'M' which is very similar to their remix of Madonna's 'What It Feels Like For A Girl'. The 'Goldscan' remix of 'Evolution' rocks too...the hyper lyrics are coupled with an awesome sacharine beat.

If I had to criticise this album I would say the remix of 'A Song For XX' is a bit of a let-down for the album closer...I know it is a chillout remix but I think it is really boring and slow...it kind of reminds me of Madonna's 'Frozen'. Plus, the remix of 'Fly High' is pathetic?! Such a great, original song...but this remix is too 'stop/start' and the vocals sound really dull and the beat is so 1990's.

But this is a great collection of songs to begin a night of clubbing and dancing in the city. Really gets you in the mood!

This album is a great album for trance lovers. I recommend this album to anybody who loves remixes especially trance remixes even though they might not understand Japanese.

The album here consists of basic trance anthems especially the "Depend On You" remix. It's an amazing start for the album and brings an uplifting feel for the song. I don't think I can talk about all the tracks listed here! They are all good! "Trauma" was a strong forceful trance mix that could really get your body movin'. Some other mentionable ones include... "UNITE! (Airwave remix)"..."SURREAL" remix....

With all the good stuff featured in this remix album, there's also some bad. No it's not the content of the album,- it's the ridculous price of the album! No album whether import or domestic, should cost 40 dollars! (Unless it's several discs then that's ok) However this CD is only ONE disc. It's kind of a rip-off even though the CD is awesome.
