Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Soulful collection!.......2003-08-24

This is a great disc for the collector of quality disco. The songs (some previously unreleased) date back to the days when disco still had a soul. Very R&B influenced. I also love the quirky "Moon Trek" by Mike Theodore. I'd never heard these songs before but I'm glad I picked this disc up.

4 out of 5 stars Delving deeper into Disco music.......2003-02-11

The roots and more of Disco can be found on this eye-opening new British CD compiled by Dean Rudland. It starts off with an unreleased track from 1979 by the Clark Sisters and winds its way throught the seventies and early eighties. If you are looking to dig deeper into quality music, then pick this one up. The remastering is top notch and taken from the analogue masters. Informative liner notes are included.

Although not a bad song, the only real oddball track is Sadie by Joe Bataan. Also would have preferred they include King Errisson's "Manhattan Love Song" instead of "Magic Man."

Here's the complete tracklisting:
