"The emotions which pour from Roxy Music are captured and felt ever so strongly in the reinventions of these classics."
Product Description
Roxy Re-Modeled, the first-ever dance music tribute album to legendary rock band Roxy Music. Roxy Musics impact has been felt over multiple genres and is cited by many critically acclaimed acts as a great source of their inspiration. Roxy Re-Modeled pays tribute to Roxy Music with exciting dance floor friendly interpretations of some of the bands most well-known tracks. It will make you move to Roxy Music in a whole new way!
The CD starts out with Madison Parks soulful and seductive remake of "Same Old Scene." The lyric "Nothing Lasts Forever" floats by on a cloud and reminds you how timeless music can be. The pace then picks up just a notch with a gorgeous remake of one of Roxys biggest hits, "Love is The Drug." With an infectious chorus this one should be huge once again! Next, NYCs Perfect Project does a remarkable job of taking the rock out of "Angel Eyes, transforming it into downbeat splendor; while Romanian pop group Sunday People bring a similar style to that of Zero 7 in their transformation of "Avalon." With "Dont Stop The Dance," Barcelonas Biter MC lays down a minimal layer of house beats for Italian Pop Chanteuse Elena DeLucca to do her beautiful work. We reach the centerpiece with Madison Park VS Lenny Bs mind-blowing remix of Roxy Musics biggest hit, "More Than This." This track is on the money and shows why Madison Park consistently lands near the top of the Billboards Hot Dance Music and Club Play Chart. Abstract Foundations airy guitar-funk remake of "Wildcats Days opens the second half of the disc and leads into J.A.C.E.s energetic house take on Bryan Ferrys hit "Kiss and Tell." The chorus is pure bliss! Next, Stormchild brings instrumental electro funk to "Thru An Angels Eyes," (inspired by "Angel Eyes") while Goldlust adds a nice layer of brokenbeat and hazy vocals to Beauty Queen. Abstract Foundation then goes more of the traditional pop route for a remake of "Slave To Love". Bryan Ferry was known for remaking classics and that included Cole Porter's "You Do Something To Me". Here Madison park teams up with GrooveOholics for the late night trip through their version of "You Do Something To Me." The journey ends in sublime fashion with the epic dance floor pop of "Ten Cents a Dance." (inspired by "Kiss and Tell") The Israeli duo, Wilson, bring Roxy Music to the peak time!
