Raw, deep funk.......2002-09-30

This compilation effort from the Scottish DJ Keb Darge has a suprising number of brilliant rare tracks.Tracks such as 'Kick the Habbit', 'The rocking Courtroom' and 'Zambezi' are all excellent and to me define what funk should be. Forget Sly, James Brown and all the P funk rubbish that is out there, if you want funk without the gimmicks, with crunchy catchy funky riffs that can't help but swing, you should buy this album.Many of the tracks on the album are by considered by serious funk collectors to be gems and are not mediocre by any stretch of the imagination
