A dose of love, Claude Challe style... definately not Yanni.......2006-12-07

One poor review these days can be enough to put me off dropping $25 on a CD. I was hesitent to purchase this one by Claude Challe... however, I'm happy to stay, it's very a good CD. I think the other reviewer really wasn't in to Claude Challe's style and this CD is fairly consistent with his other work in terms of being an eclectic mix of songs and sometimes styles, which is what makes the mix an interesting journey rather than a collection of tracks. I like that though, if he did the same work all the time or just the same genre without trying something new, things would get boring. The overall theme though is love... and not in a sappy way or in a total style like flamenco (which I think the other reviewer may have expected), it's a mix CD, of varying styles, with an overall chilled out flavour. It's most definately NOT Yanni.

If you like Claude Challes other CDs, there's no reason you won't like this one. His unique ability to take the listener on a magical journey to places they may not have been before is what sets Claude Challe out from the pack. Just take a look at his picture... the guy is not conventional! And that's what's so good about his work. While Lover Dose not breathtaking, as are several of his other CDs such as Emanuelle and Flying Carpet and several of the Nirvana Lounges / Buddha Bars, it's still well about the crowd in this genre and an excellent disc in its own right.

I enjoyed this CD the music by Claude is original, fancy and beautiful at the same time - it is like travelling to many places in wich you feel in peace and comfortable - I am buying Les Bains Douches and expect it to be a nice compilation

For Buddha Bar/Claude Challe fans..........2005-04-29

A great collection of sexy music on 2 CD's compiled by Claude Challe the master of Buddha Bar. Worth checking out. I especially love French Kiss by Lil' Louie. I remember that track from 1989. That was a great year for Acid. Love love it!! Go get this cd and enjoy it with your lover.

I am a fan of deep house, chillout, and lounge music. I love the Hotel Costes Series, the Karma Collection, and some of the Buddha Bars.

I was suckered into buying this CD, and I am regretting it now. Don't make the same mistake.

The first CD is reminiscent of Yanni or John Tesh. The second CD is useless. Are you having a dinner party? or are you on a date? This is not the CD to play because one track is flamenco and the next is deep house. There is absolutely no flow!

One of the best ever Chill-out albums. Almost impossible to find anywhere is now finally re-issued. Ksardaz and French kisses are just incredible. Flawless album. Get if while you can.
