Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Great songs.......2005-07-23

I love this comp, and think it has some great great tracks. My only gripe is I too would appreciate longer songs.

Much props to Escape for choosing some of the hottest tracks I've yet to encounter in full on a circuit-DJ's mix comp. I really really love his style compared to most other circuit DJ's, whom I also dearly adore.

3 out of 5 stars popular selection tunes, mostly short lengths..........2005-04-28

I'm not going to be as hard on Escape's song selection as were the others, because I actually was familiar with most of these songs before I bought the disc, and like many of them, particularly the vocal tracks. Of course, that's sort of what makes this disc run-of-the-mill for me, because I have most of the songs on here, in much longer forms, on CD single. I like compilations like this that actually introduce me to new stuff I've not heard before. There's really not much of that here. The remix of Robi Rob's boriqua anthem isn't all that different than the original, and includes my favorite part, the hard techno dance break in the middle. My biggest complaint is that the mixes are mostly too short. For instance, the DJ escape mix of "Wired" bv Ceevox is a hot vocal track I'd not heard before-but it's not even 5 minutes. Same with Little Bit of Lovin. I like compilations that include about 10 or 11 tracks in their longer versions. Time listing is:

1. make your move (3:57)
2. Time (4:25)
3. Hell in paradise (5:56)
4. Show it (3:54)
5. Cha cha heels (6:23)
6. robi robi's boriqua anthem (5:28)
7. Wired (4:40)
8. Wonder of it all (7:37)
9. Work it/touch it (5:17)
10. Little bit of lovin (4:40)
11. Push the feeling on (4:11)
12. Fever (5:54)
13. angel (6:54)
14. sanctuary (4:20)

4 out of 5 stars Pretty Good Overall.......2005-03-03

This music is a little on the generic circuit party music side, but it's fun. It isn't transcendent or anything, but it has its moments. The "Hell In Paradise" track is great. None of it is annoying as the bad sort of circuit music can be. But the repetitive samples dull it a little. This review probably won't make you want to buy it at full price, but note how cheap the used copies are. Wink ;-). Mine was less than $10 with shipping included and I'm a happy camper. :-D

3 out of 5 stars Average for DJ Escape.......2004-10-21

I am a huge DJ Escape fan, and I have enjoyed all of his previous releases because they are very true to his DJ form. "Bangin 3" was somewhat disappointing because it sounded identical to all the other circuit dance CD's that flood the market. Escape's style has always been a little darker, harder, & edgier - for those of us who don't appreciate the fluff, Escape is a gift to the gay dance scene. This new CD has its moments, but I feel Escape somewhat sold out a little with this one. I recommend the CD because there are some bland club songs that Escape spices up; it's always fun to see what Escape will do with a song. Altogether this is a "safe" CD for Escape that will sell to a wide variety of Club goers. For those of us who have followed Escape throughout his career, the CD plays on the surface and never really goes into Escape's true deep form.

5 out of 5 stars Bangin is as Bangin does.............2004-10-02

If you love to dance, then you will love Bangin 3. DJ Escape transports you into the nightclub state of mind with his amazing mixing technique of today's hottest tracks that will make your feet stomp and your booty wiggle.

Big thumbs up for DJ escape
