5 out of 5 stars Original Acid Jamz.......2007-04-08

I grew up in Chicago. I was there for most of the different sub-genres of House Music during the 80's and 90's. I have to admit..Acid House was my favorite. It seemed as if more people got on the dance floor when the DJ's were spinning some Acid tracks as opposed to the average House tracks. So far, this is my favorite house CD.
I highly recommend this CD to anyone who remembers Acid House music or if you are a House fan, you can't go wrong by adding this to your collection.

5 out of 5 stars Transistor Bassline 303.......2005-04-26

This compilation is tight. Jackin beats and trippy grooves. Recommended to work out the funk. From the source ... Chicago!

4 out of 5 stars Early Electronica Masterpiece.......2006-06-19

Would "Rave" have happened if Chicago Acid House hadn't? I have grown to believe that this early scene has had even more lasting impact than even the Detroit techno scene..as cool as that was too. Would Aphex Twin have been able to play that way if Phuture hadn't put a cranking TB303 over a pile of used and overdriven 80's drum machines? No.
This CD makes up some very deep..rooted.. basic..DNA building block elements of what "Electronica" would prove to be..and ..in turn..points a way into an even more distant ..well...future.
Totally raw, killer..if a bit minimal....highly highly highly recommended for the "Electronica/dance" scene's foaming fanatic.
