Best Kylie Minogue CD to be released yet!.......2006-05-16

This CD is different from other CD's in that it is taped from a live show. I have yet to find the DVD (if there is one) that is the concert of this CD. She is unbelieveable. You hear the audience cheering. You hear her introducing songs and saying "thank you" to the crowd. However, that is not even my favorite part. Ever had an artist you love sing a song you love, and you listen to the chorus and the chorus fades out? Well, on this CD, there is no fading out. You hear the entire song for each and every one. Plus, some songs are different than how they are originally done ("Confide In Me" is a perfect example; she sings it differently here than on her original CD). So, if you are a fan of Kylie Minogue in any way, trust me, this CD is worth the money. It is 2 CD's. Hear is the track listing:

The one live cd you have to have.......2005-07-03

This is Kylie's first live cd and it is fantastic. Her voice is so strong and every song is worth listening to, there are no songs that should be skipped here. I love every song off of it but here are some stand-out tracks-
Too far, Put yourself in my place, Take me with you, I should be so lucky, Dancing Queen, Cowboy style, Free, Drunk, Shocked, Locomotion, Should I stay or should I go?, and Better the Devil you know. If you can find the DVD of this, snatch it up because it's great.

Kylie's voice sounds better live .......2005-03-30

This Kylie Live album is very good. It is wonderful to hear beautiful classics such as I Should Be So Lucky, The Loco Motion, Did It Again, Breathe, Too Far, Better The Devil You Know and more. She also pulls off great versions of Abba and Clash classics Dancing Queen, very fun to dance to and Should I Stay Or Should I Go?, the classic rock Kylie that had been totally unexpected from her fans. Buy it now! It is one of the best live CD's out there today! If you can, grab hold of the DVD aswell! That is also a great buy and the behind the scenes tour footage and the interactive menus are a nice touch!

whether or not your already a Kylie fan, you'll love this live cd from her "Intimate and Live" Tour. Her voice sounds ever so wonderful, and the versions of the familiar songs are really neat! Great variety of Minogue tunes, performed in a different style. Definetly a cd worth buying!

Brenda Weiler Live is the new album from folk-rock-singer-songwriter Brenda Weiler. It captures whatBrenda does best - perform live in front of an audience. Amazing - my favorite album!.......2003-11-17

I've loved Brenda since I was working at a theater and she was the opening act. I was mesmorized. God, she's just really good. Her live shows are so magical - this cd captures her brilliant talent perfectly. My favorite song is "Swimming" which she performs with Kid Dakota. I'm still not sick of that song. I'm actually not sick of any of her songs. She's a lovely and fresh lyricist and a talented musician. Just buy this cd. If you like singer/songwriters that are catchy without being "poppy," then you won't be disappointed.

I received this CD from a friend for Christmas. I played it many times a day for the week following and it added tremendously to the peace I felt during the season. I felt infused with the music and would wake humming praise. What a gift!

Good performance, pretty poor sound........2005-08-19

Wow, it's great to see AMAZON selling some of the rare Stan recordings (many originally available exclusively through other websites). These are often GREAT shows that deserve a much broader, appreciative audience.

This show, taken from Stan's MOSQUITOS TOUR of 1989, features a solid performance by Stan & band - a great selection of songs, some passionate performances ("Mission In Life" seems even more heartfelt here than it does in it's original form), and Stan is in rare form during his between-song blab.

HOWEVER---- do note that the sound-quality on this recording is.... lacking. While techincally a "stereo" recording, the overall effect is that of listening to an 8th-generation cassette of an AM-stereo recording. The highs are too high, the bass is muffled, the stereo-seperation is barely there. To top it off, the audience seem to be a bit louder than they should be for a direct-soundboard recording.

Even as a rabid Ridgway fan, I barely bust-out this CD, just based on the poor audio quality. I rate it a solid 3 stars based on performance alone, but do seriously consider some of the other live Ridgway shows before you invest in this one.

A ton more spicy than her first CD. The first song on the album is catchy and groovey along with a handful of other tracks. a few tracks are pretty but a little too slow to fit with the rest of the album. great album though. i expect to hear more from Christin in the future. she has snazzy stage presence and just needs a committed band behind her.

Music to honestly reach you where you are.......2002-09-06

"For the Love" is an incredible cd. The lyrics are honest and really grab you because I think you'll find yourself in at least a couple of these songs. "Beyond Me" remains my favorite on the cd, and it's a great ballad that really touched me because I find myself at that point in my life often and realize that it's out of my hands now. She expressed perfectly the despair tinged with hope that grabs you at just that moment when you realize it's time to give up for now. Every song on here is a winner, and I highly recommend it. Thanks for the music you make and the ministry you live, Christin. I'm looking forward to your next one!
