Love it. Especially the 2nd track is mind blowing. If you are new to Indi fusion, this is a good starting point.

I really like this album. It makes a great soundscape for doing just about anything. I didn't give it the fifth star however, because it simply isn't as good as Liberation. That album is magical and really grabs your attention. If you don't have either, get liberation.

Mellow take on the Lips........2007-03-24

This album is very interesting. I had been a skeptic of the string tributes for a long time. I'm a huge Flaming Lips fan, so when I found this for real cheap I picked it up. It is really quite soothing. Plus all the melodies are already familiar. Definately not an essential album but a nice one anyway.

I must say, first and foremost, Judy Jacobs is an excellent singer. If you haven't heard her sing, please do. Here voice is amazing.The Lord has truly blessed her with a magnificent voice and she is using it to glorify him. Amen. Now about the cd, its format is excellent. Most of the songs were recorded live, so as you listen to it, you feel as if you're right there. Hearing the crowd worshipping and clapping in the background is awesome. This CD will truly lead you into the presence of God. Ever since the day I bought it, I listen to it every single day. It's truly amazing. I highly recommend Above and Beyond

I watch T B N every night,some times all night. I enjoy praising the LORD with every one. I get touched by Karen Wheaton and Judy jackobs also many of the ministers such as Benny Hinn, Mark Chorona, T D jakes , paula white , Juanita Bynum, Kandy Station.
Jessie Duplantis, Joel Osten.and many more. I learn from all of them and love to praise with them. i would love to visit some of you some day,but I don't get much money and I caint work because of me physical problems. I live on a small fixed incom. S S disability. so pray for me and My children and grand children. espically the oldest grand son. He nees God in a mighty way. After the mind-warping release of "Realize," we thought it couldn't possibly get any better. With soaring vocals, steaming tabla, and sonic washes of boggling beats, what more was there to ask for?

Redesign.

Karsh Kale teams his studio (Mighty Junn) up with some of the hottest, (yet still undiscovered by most ignorant Americans) djs to produce a selection of 11 remixed tracks from Realize. Including KK himself, Bill Laswell and MIDIval PunditZ make appearances in their own versions of "Home" and "Empty Hands."

With 3 separate do-overs for "Home," (the most popular track off of the first cd)and two mixes for "Empty Hands," one would think the music gets old. Only very rarely do the tracks meld to become background music, and whenever boredom sets in, a new melody or audio trick jumps out to grab onto your ears. Plus a wholly new track known as "Destroy the Icon" comes out to show a preview of things to come.

But the stars of the album certainly come in the ending tracks. With KK's second ode to his wife, Anja, we get "Anja: Mother Earth Mix." Close to the first track, yet with some beautiful subtleties added, this track is definitely a winner. The one that'll really knock your socks off is the third remix of "Home" by Mukul. Instead of layering more noise and beats, vocals and washes to the song (as the first two did), Mukul's Acid Lullaby breaks "Home" down into a quiet and creepy melody full of bells, burbles and running washes. A female vocalist begins the lyrics by whispering, gurgling and skipping around just under the radar. Then the regualr vocals break in sounding alien and faraway, creating a sense of sleepiness, creepiness and all out acid-laced trippyness.

This is one of the best albums I have come across in a while. One of my favorite tracks was 11 Anja[mother earth mix]. I havent actually heard realize, but I am thoroughly pleased by this album, I will definately check out the other. The tone in this ranges from mellow vocal/traditional instrumental to heavy breakbeat techno riffs. The sound is quite pleasurable, worth checking out. If you like this, you might like the Natacha Atlas remixes, Thievery Corporation, Talvin Singh, Tabla Beat Science, etc. There are quite a few awesome Asian artists out right now.

This is the second review I've done on this particular hypnotist with the same criticism. He's way over the top on his delivery. His dramatic tone mixed with reverberation is too distracting to relax. Maybe that will work for you, but it didn't for me and I couldn't in good conscience recommend this CD.

Wonderful, absolutely wonderful!.......2007-04-11

I wasn't sure about this CD at first, but I figured it was worth the money if it worked. I tried it and I did enjoy the relaxing effect, but I still had my doubts about if it would help my studies and my memory. I have been so stressed about school and passing my exams. I kept using it everyday as a relaxation response so I could escape for a while from the reality of all my fears. Then test day came. I was feeling pretty self confident and self assured and each time I came to the next question, I had the answer immediately. I really don't even feel I studied that hard to know everything on the test as it was a challenging test. But I not only passed, I got an A. Now I swear by this CD and listen to it everyday or just when stressed about school and passing. And I am doing fine Doctor Love. Great CD, Works wonders for me! I highly recommend it!

A Must Listen!.......2007-02-13

When you listen to Watch Me Burn the first time, you can hear the influences of artists like David Gray, Dave Matthews, Cat Stevens, John Mayer, but with an emotion and diversity that clearly separates Chris Bruni from other singer/songwriters. As you listen to the CD a few times, you start to appreciate the depth of the lyrics and the range of the tracks, both of which make this one of those albums you'll listen to on repeat for awhile.

The intensity of the lyrics to Watch Me Burn and Riled Up are contrasted--quite successfully--by the tones and melodies. One thing that Bruni seems to succeed at is writing lyrics that are both simple and universal. You can listen to these tracks and identify with all of them. The album is emotional and deep without being cheesy and the CD has tracks that range from subtle love songs to more up tempo rock. The variety gets you interested and each song will keep you hooked, whether it's for the melody or lyrics. This is a definite must-have, if only for Chris's cover of Man in the Mirror, which is simply incredible.

Yes this is the VH1 commercial background song!.......2003-12-30

The really cool thing about this CD single & this track off the "Yoshimi" album, is the fact that VH1 played this on their commercial with very cool photography, graphics, little clips of other videos, and just odd video "doodling". I first saw it on TV and then overheard it on the TV monitors at a Blockbuster store and I swear when you watch the song & see the commercial - they really work well together. Gave me goosebumps (smile).

5 stars for the 1st track - play it on a sunny Saturday morning, when you wake up with someone you love.

Besides the additional "Yoshimi" cover art, this single is a must-have for the unreleased bonus live track, "If I Go Mad/Funeral in My Head." This one track has all of the passion, intensity, and beauty of "Yoshimi" and "The Soft Bulletin," and, in this writer's opinion, ranks as one of their best recordings. Why this hasn't made it onto one of their albums is a mystery to me.

Great Music!!!!.......2006-04-29

Anybody interested in a hardworking and talented artist should pick up this album. It has a tremendous amount of energy and each track is excellent. Teardrop and Lost both feature great guitar work and Paul's vocal skills are second to none. Hailey Rose is another stand out track that tells a moving story.

In the days where true artists are considered to be Ashlee Simpson, it is refreshing to see a musician that composes and actually plays original music.
