Product Description
From Astralwerks, the enhanced single 'Where's Your Head At?'. This special package demonstrates the versatility of the Jaxx sound with a broad range of quality mixes. The original album version features vocals by Damien Peachey, & backing yells from New Jersey Mongoloids Junior Sanchez, Erick Morillo & Michael Moog. 2 versions of 'Where's Your Head At?' are provided by The Stanton Warriors on track 2. The 'Sounds of Da Future' remix, suggestive of Carnival in Haiti, is a bells and whistles excursion into garage with a voodoo twist and a Lalo Schifrin-like flourish that adds a suggestion of menace. Other highlights include the 'Jaxx Night Dub' with its breathy female vocal, industrial noise and a hook so dirty it sounds like it was recorded in a swamp. John Ciafone from Mood 2 Swing supplies the 'John Ciafone Dub', a minimally crafted homage to Detroit.

WHERE'S YOUR STEREO AT?.......2006-09-25
BASMENT JAXX'S SONG "WHERE'S YOUR HEAD AT?" IS ON DDR ULTRAMIX 3. IT'S QUITE EASY TO DANCE TO AND THE REMIXES ARE PRETTY GOOD TOO. BUY THIS CD IF YOU LIKE BASEMENT JAXX AND/OR DDR.
Finally!.......2004-06-15
I've been a fan of Basement Jaxxx since the first Tomb Raider movie came out. I was thrilled that their single, "Where's Your Head At?" was on the soundtrack, at number 9. It is such a good song, and it's so easy to dance to. It's a fun, techno-ish beat that will leave you banging your head and shaking your hips for the 4 minutes and 42 seconds that the song lasts. I was very happy to see their music video for "Where's Your Head At?" on AOL. It was quite a humorous treat.
So if you like fun, funky beats that you can dance to, then buy the single for "Where's Your Head At?" from Basement Jaxxx today!
Jaxx to the max.......2003-03-09
When I knew that Where's Your Head At was gonna be a single, I was thrilled, it was the song that got me prancing and dancing to. Energetic, electronic and engaging. That's what I wanna say. Kudos to Astralwerks for releasing a maxi-single in the US! It's cramped with full of good stuff. the remixes to Where's Your Head At are all interpreted differently by each remixer and comes across as a well-coordinated remix project. There are bonuses here too, 2 remixes of the retro-disco Jus 1 Kiss and the acoustic version of the Indian-influenced Romeo. Plus the absolutely wacky video of Head.
It's Basement Jaxx, So You Know It's Great.......2002-04-23
Having bought both of Basement Jaxx's full length albums (Remedy & Rooty) I couldn't pass up getting my hands on this single. I first heard about Basement Jaxx from the Coca-Cola commercial which had the song "Red Alert." I immediatley fell in love. I bought Remedy and was VERY impressed. About a month later I bought Rooty. It wasn't as good as Remedy, but it's still great music. From Rooty I was really only impressed with three tracks, and two of which are either on or remixed on this disc. So I bought it. Tracks 1 through 5 are good, each with their own beat and style. Jus 1 Kiss never really impressed me, but track 6 is better than the original. Track 7 has a good dance beat to begin and then it gets better with a little industrial effect. Track 8 is probably the worst track. It has a good feel, but it lacks a climax to the point where it almost feels redundant. Track 9 is the Romeo acoustic version which I thought would be great to hear. I mean two DJs making a acoustic version of a good, fast, upbeat song? It should be great. But it ended up being a disappointment. It seems like a watered-down version of the original Romeo. But it's still interesting to see Basement Jaxx to take this route. The video on the enhanced part of the CD is great. I don't know if the video is available on Astralwerks' website, but I hadn't seen it before I bought this CD. It's a funny video that can't be told about, you have to experience it. Overall, this disc is great. I recommend it to anyone who likes any Basement Jaxx, you'll appreciate it.

Customer Reviews:
My Head is in the Blues.......2001-07-05
This is a good old fashioned electric blues offering. It's not blues-rock, a la Stevie Ray Vaughan, but is more akin to the more traditional blues sound of B. B. King. The style is one of electric guitar and blues harp, and they drive it to perfection in the instrumental "Hip Pocket." Despite a uniformity of their overall sound, Fathead is able to move in several different directions on this (their second) CD. They pick up the pace with tracks like "Commit a Crime" and "You're the One," lighten the mood with "Walk Backwards" and "Mama's Boy," and slow it down nicely with "Blue Water" and the beautiful (instrumental) "Hymn for Her." Hopefully, Fathead is on the verge of a breakout CD. They've won a Juno, but it's time for them to get recognition from a broader audience.
