Two tracks I really like.......2007-07-21

The Mission Impossible theme is performed well.
The Fireball theme is actually much improved on this version. I prefer the orchestra and the vocals over the original.

Quantity Over Quality.......2007-01-15

As a musician myself, I know too well that one of the most important ingredients in ANY performance (live or recorded) is passion. The recordings here generally lack the same passion and sheer drama of the originals. Much of the instrumentation has been reduced to a cheezy, thin, plastic synthesized replica. The performances are simply a watered-down lackluster version of the classic originals. If it were not for the sheer volume of tracks compiled here, I would have rated the comp only "one star".

One Hundred Greatest TV Themes.......2005-08-06

I have watched almost all the shows that are on these 4 cd's. Many were made before I started watching TV. Most I've seen once or twice before.

Definitely not as good as the originals. You'll probably notice the slight differences since it's stuff you saw and listened to every week or everyday in reruns growing up, but it's still an amazing collection.

Pretty Lame.......2005-12-24

This CD was not at all what I expected. Instead of taking this ground breaking music.. all we get is a kind of techno pop garbage.

Terrible. AIRWOLF THEMES 2CD is the real deal, not this.......2005-06-14

The whole reason the official "Airwolf Themes 2CD Soundtrack" exists is because of this trash. The WonderWeapon has *nothing* to do with the episodic music used in the original CBS series; 'Airwolf Themes' on the other hand is the real deal as it has involvement by the original composer Sylvester Levay and creator, Don Bellisario.

Just type 'Airwolf' into Google and you'll find the official Airwolf Themes Soundtrack site and links to be able to buy MP3 downloads on Apple iTunes and Pinnacle-Digital. A new sequel Airwolf soundtrack will be released in late 2007. Forget about 'The Blunderweapon', save your money and get the real thing.

Such a shame that there are individuals out there who have such a lack of confidence in their work or product that they feel they must resort to deception.

AVOID this trash, it isn't what it says it is. There is a website for the official Airwolf soundtrack. They sold out, but indicated there would be more. It, thankfully, IS the real thing. If you're interested go to http://www.airwolfthemes.com/

Rip Off.......2005-01-22

If you're expecting a soundtrack recording you'll be sorry you bought this. It is nothing but a techno dance re-mix. And its not even the long version of the Airwolf theme. It just repeats the main opening theme, then a 1 min. drum solo, then back to the open again. And each track sounds almost identical. The only difference is that one track starts out with the drum solo. If you want dance music, fine. You want the soundtrack you're out of luck. Last I heard E-Bay had one go for over $400.

If you want to hear the best t.v. soundtrack of all time (Airwolf), then I recommend trying an 80's t.v. show themes CD. This CD contains some modern sound mixes with a few similar beats. The producer could have at least made that clear, but then it would never sell. I know the difference considering this show was my life for years. On IMDB.com there is no soundtrack listing. I also recommend searching under the name "Sylvester Levay" who created the main theme. If you know where to find the true soundtrack then please post it.

Somebody shoot this bogus 'Airwolf' down!.......2004-05-18

I decided to give this a listen in the hope that, in the least, it would contain the original theme to the `Airwolf' TV show and a few interesting re-imaginations of this great theme. Unfortunately, none of the tracks contain any of the original score-- just a new orchestration of the music-- and the techno-dance remixes of the theme are rather droning, repetitive, and insipidly uninspired. It just goes on and ON and ON!!! All of the four tracks that contain the opening titles theme use the same opening bass line followed by the first couple `verses' of the synthesizer melody. Nowhere to be heard is big `buildup', or the climactic ending notes in any one of this quartet of cuts.

Sadly, I didn't find any of the other tracks to be all that much better; none of `em sounded all that fresh & new in the genre of Techno/Dance tunage. Most of `em would be right at home as stock soundtrack music in one B-grade film or another. On a slight upside, a couple tracks had a sort of Middle-East sound to `em (`Supercopter Arabia' and `Caravan'), which I found a little interesting if not very entertaining.

The bottom line: if you're expecting to get the original `Airwolf' soundtrack, or at the least a few really snazzy re-workings of the show's music... forget it. This second-rate re-do is not worth one second of your time, or one iota of the nostalgia you might hold for the show this platter allegedly inspired.
