Fantastic album.......2006-03-05

Gabry Ponte has shown his talent with Eiffel 65, but now he's taken it a step further with his own solo work. This album is absolutely wonderful, and features a wide array of song styles from dance, trance, and even some darker songs. But they are all awesome and any Eiffel 65 fans will enjoy. As for the songs:

1. 'Man in the Moon'--This song is beautiful, and Jeffrey Jey's vocals are stunning. It's a very deep track with poetic lyrics and a mellow sound, and has an Eiffel 65 feel to it.
2. 'Geordie'--The Italian version of 'The Story of Geordie'. Awesome song all around with an extremely catchy sound to it. It's sure to get people up and dancing.
3. 'Got to Get'--Not my favorite song on the album, but is still very cool. It's very energetic and fun to listen to, and seems quite fitting for a dance club.
4. 'Sharm Cafe'--This song is unique and has a distinctly Italian sound to it. It's a little less intense than 'Got to Get', but is still lively, energetic, and fun to listen to.
5. 'Time to Rock'--A great dance track and one that Gabry has become known for. It's a pure dance song and I never get tired of listening to it.
6. 'Always on My Mind'--I'm not crazy about this song, but it does have a more melancholy sound to it. The lyrics and vocals are lovely, but otherwise it's not one of my favorites.
7. 'Waterfall'--This is a beautiful and deep trance song, and shows that Gabry can extend his talents to different areas of dance music.
8. 'De Musica Tonante'--A unique and interesting sounding dance track. It's very cool, and almost reminds me of video game music. Still, it's great to dance to.
9. 'My Butterfly'--I love this song. It has a creepy, almost dark feel to it, and the vocals are haunting. It changes from very intense in the beginning and then mellows out during the verses. Gabry touched a darker side of dance music with this song, and it is well done.
10. 'Le Voyage'--I would consider this a trance song because of the very deep, mesmerizing sound to it. The lyrics are in French and a little bit of English, which is very different for an Italian artist like Gabry. That doesn't take away from the beauty of this song, though, and it's very poetic.
11. 'Memories'--This song reminds me strongly of Eiffel 65's music, and is a wonderful track. It is somewhat nostalgic and very catchy. The vocals fit perfectly with the melody and the lyrics are once again poetic and well-written.
12. 'Midnight'--This is a dark, almost industrial-sounding song. Gabry writes some darker stuff, and this is a great example. It is deep and slower than some of the other tracks, but has a delightfully creepy sound to it.
13. 'Terra Libera'--I think this may be the most melancholy track on the album. The words are extremely poetic and thought-provoking, and the message of the pain caused by war is clear. Overall, it's a wonderful song.
14. 'The Story of Geordie'--This is my personal favorite on the whole album. It's a great dance track, and the lyrics are very interesting. It was adapted from the traditional Scottish song about a man who is going to be hung by a golden chain, and I think it is masterfully done. I could listen to it over and over again without tiring of it.

So, there you have it. Gabry Ponte is a musical genius, and while his work with Eiffel 65 is still his best, his solo work is amazing as well. I highly recommend this album to any and all Eiffel 65 fans and to anybody who likes dance music. It is a masterpiece.

I think this track is pure excellence!! The first time I heard it on the radio I knew I had to find out who it was. Nice melody and a slamming beat. Truly a great track from the Dj of Eiffel 65.

I love the song Midnight by Gabry Ponte it's really awesome I am into Techno/Dance and I love Eiffel 65 this CD by far is really cool. By the way Gabry Ponte is the DJ from Eiffel 65 not the singer as some CD stores say it is. The Singer for Eiffel 65 is Jeffrey Jay. I give it five out of five stars.

WOW! This is a great song. The lyrics may sound a bit cheesy, but if you turn up the volume, you will be mesmirised at how wonderful the catchy tune is, - especially the ringtone part of this song.

I've also seen the video for this song, and it's SO FUNNY! You also get to see a glimpse if Gabry himself at the end of the video.

Awesome Italian Techno/Pop.......2002-08-05

Great BEAT, Extremely CATCHY melodie. This song will definitely make you dance (or at least tap your foot). If You like music by EIFFEL 65, then you will LOVE this song. It is similar to "Move Your Body" or "Another Race". Gabry is actually one of the members of Eiffel 65.

I can not stress enough, how good this song is!!!!
Check this great song out, I promise you will not regret it.

Gabry is a musical genius.......2005-12-20

I've been a devoted Eiffel 65 fan for years, but when I heard that Gabry was doing his own music, I'll admit that I was skeptical. I so loved his work with Eiffel 65 and worried that his solo stuff would be different. So I decided to give this album a try, and I'm glad to say my worries were for nothing. This album is incredible! It's so energetic with great bass in every song and some very talented guest singers. Gabry has managed to gain his own individual sound while still maintaining an Eiffel 65 feel to everything. In other words, he's a genius. The songs are in Italian and English, but even though I don't understand Italian, I don't think it deprives the songs of their wonderful sound. If anything, it adds substance and diversity to the album. Keep up the great work, Gabry! Any fan of Eiffel 65 will surely enjoy this album; I know I did. Trust me, the import is worth the wait.

Figli Di Pitagora is a superb dance song, Eiffel 65's version is awesome- however- Little Tony's take (featuring DJ Ponte) is more suitable for the clubs. Even the video is shot totally in a party scene. It is slower to be made aware of Italian music here in the states. I have been a dance music freak for years. Seems like in America, it is not as appreciated as it once was in the 90s- and still is today in Europe. Ah, well~ guess it may be time to go where it's happening!!! For now, I'll settle for Import ordering

There's just something about Italy that is synonymous with excellent dance music. Floorfilla, Eiffel 65, Stagediverz, Unabomber, Benny Benassi, and Gabry Ponte all hail from this country, and the music from all these artists is always a total KNOCKOUT.
"Figli Di Pitagora" is an incredible dance track, that innovates in its sound, and style. I always move when I hear this track. It's hard to write this review right now, because I'm moving around!
"La Danza Delle Strenghe" is also very good, for the creepier side of dance (Like Germany's E Nomine, but in Italian).
"Crazy" has a melancholy edge to it, not unlike Floorfilla's "Le Delire," but "Crazy" stays true to its dance roots, and it makes a powerful track!
Other songs of Gabry's that just blow me away, include "Giorde," and "Il Gladiatore," which are also incredible tunes for the dancefloor! I would highly recommend this CD to anyone who's tired of American techno, and wants a deviation from the norm. This is a fantastic CD, and just straight up fantastic techno!

DJ Gabry Ponte (also of Eiffel 65 fame) really hits home with this CD. I loved the remix of "Figli Di Pitagora" with Italian singer Little Tony, and "La Danza Delle Streghe" which is quickly becoming one of the top dance tracks of the summer! Tracks like "I Believe" and "Depends on You" add a other sentimental quality while songs like "Radioattivita" are edgier and harder but I didn't enjoy it as much. The wonderful mix of vocals and electronic music makes it an experience you won't hear from any other DJ. 10 OUT OF 10!!!
