Editorial Reviews

Midwest Record Recap, April 28, 2004 Electronic Edition
This Nord cool neo-jazzer rounds up his cutting edge remixing buddies and serves up a cool jazz/house fusion. Solid set.

Product Description
A DELICIOUS BLEND OF SMOOTH HOUSE AND DOWNTEMPO! Don’t let the cool, icy cover fool you.  You may not have heard of Dalminjo before but his delicious melodies, warm musical feeling, jazz influences from the 60’s and 70’s, Brazilian beats and fresh House grooves will have you thinking that he can’t be from ice-locked Norway!

Originally recording as ORG Lounge (with an artist album and several compilation appearances on Water Music Records), Dalminjo has been putting his Deep House stamp on three critically acclaimed 12" releases in Europe for the past two years with support from such heavyweight DJs as Gilles Peterston, Jazzanova, LTJ Bukem, Bruno (Café del Mar), Mr. Scruff, King Britt and Rainer Trüby to name but a few.  Now with his full-length creating a buzz in Japan and Europe, we bring you the domestic release plus two bonus remixes exclusive to the US and never available on CD before.

5 out of 5 stars Just what the doctor ordered.......2007-06-10

Most impressed with this album and to be honest better than expected.
It gains legs with each listen.

4 out of 5 stars smooth.......2006-05-10

Very smooth. If you are a fan of "Lemongrass" than this one is for you. Dalminjo is Lemongrass on a separate record label.

5 out of 5 stars Exactly what I wanted.......2005-10-19

Very enjoyable for all times of day and night! Very ralaxing yet exciting! I recommend this cd for new style modern jazz collectors!

5 out of 5 stars Fjorde Fusioneer Dalminjo [audio cd].......2005-09-08

This is a excellent jazz cd; I enjoyed it very must.

5 out of 5 stars I ADORE this cd!.......2004-12-16

I honestly do. It instantly became a favorite and I've only been listening to it for a few days now. It's a gem that was very easy to look over since I had never heard of Dalminjo before. This cd is pure chill for the most part. Warning: It will take you to another universe, a calming one, which is needed after a long day at work or a stressful encounter. I wouldn't put this cd on while driving because you could fall asleep while listening. It's just that soothing to the senses.

"Fjord Fusioneer" also is the kind of disc that you don't have to skip around to keep the sound flowing. Just put it in the player and let it go. If you're a true downtempo/deep house fan as I am, this is the cd for you. Take a good listen to "Goodbye" "Love Affair" with Hilde Drange, "Cruz Persille," "All I Want," "Departure Lounge," and "And She Said (the non-remix version)." "Goodbye," "Departure Lounge" and "And She Said" are BLISS.

I am always pleased when a CD turns out to be so much better than I thought, especially when I didn't quite know what to expect. This cd is worth the dollas. Get it and keep it in your player and just let the music take you and relax. I can't wait to see what Dalminjo comes up with next.
