Album Description
The TANTRA OF SOUND Harmonizer
represents a new dimension of sound. Utilizing Synchro-Sound, the most advanced knowledge and techniques of sound developed by world-renowned Healing Sounds pioneer Jonathan Goldman and his psychotherapist wife Andi, this recording features sonic frequencies that work on both the body and it's energy center--balancing and aligning both brainwaves and chakras at the same time, creating harmoney for you and a partner. The
TANTRA OF SOUND Harmonizer
will allow you to gently and swiftly enter deep states of relaxation and harmony

Great music for relaxing.......2007-01-20
This fabulous piece of work from Goldman has a magical touch - it relaxes the mind and makes you feel centered. It dissolves your tension at the end of the day and frees up your mind for a good night's sleep. Each piece of music is focused on one of the seven Chakras, and lasts for approximately 3 to 4 minutes, making it ideal for Reiki self healing & meditations. Highly recommended.
Tantra of Sound Harmonizer .......2006-05-06
I was pleasantly surprised as I began to work with Jonathan Goldman's CD's. I use this one to enhance intimacy with my husband, as background for meditation, and in my clinical practice to encourage clients to come to balance.
definitely relaxing.......2006-02-28
This is really not the type of CD I usually get sent to review. But coincidentally I have been meeting a lot of people lately who are into meditation (I do live in LA) and anything with Tantra in the title deserves at least a full listen. If you've ever been to a spa, you know one of the nice ones that smells like aromatherapy, has dim lighting and plush beige carpeting everywhere, then you've heard this kind of music before. But this CD is kinda cool in that it claims to go beyond just that: it says it balances the chakras and brainwaves using a system they call "SynchroSound" which uses ancient sacred sounds, psycho-acoustic frequencies, toning, chanting and musical textures. Its supposed to heal and balance as the different tracks move through the different chakras in your body, starting at the top (Crown Center) moving down to the Root and then back up again through the same tracks. The included booklet goes into real detail on how to maximize its effects. Honestly, even if you think that sounds like a lot of new age hooey, the CD is without a doubt very relaxing, and I've found myself drawn to play it when I'm stressed out... I especially like the really deep bass in the chanting on the middle "Root Center" track. I've read scientific studies done on how sound waves actually have measurable effects on how fast cells can replicate and heal, and that music can heal doesn't seem such a far stretch from how it certainly effects the way we feel. So if you want to give a very well done healing CD a try, I'd highly recommend the Tantra of Sound. -- DJfix.com review by Claire Maxwell

THE CHILD DEVIANT.......2007-03-29
Another future pop style album one of the most important artist in regards to the future pop genre. Much like the prior and far better album (Sighns) this album is verry poppy...verry emotional...verry dancey. However, it is missing all of that fun sci-fi weirdness that was on the 'sighns' album and sadley, most of the darker elements of Apop's early material seems to be long gone. This album is catchy, and well produced...but it has no edge to it whatsoever. A good album...but a further step into the mainstream, and a long sprint away from the days of songs like "Deep Red" and "Bitch". I wish that Stephen Groth (creator of Apop) would go back to his dark side again...his music is loosing it's meaning.
eh,,,.......2006-08-30
Well, all I can really say about this album is I'm glad I didnt pay for it. My friend gave me a burned copy... I'd hear some of apb's stuff a long time ago... but I remember it being somewhat industrial. this... I dont even know. I mean, there's a few good songs. but overall its just lots of fairly uniform sounds repeating fairly quickly for an entire track... there's no real depth to most of the songs. if you can even call them that... bah. disappointment.
Abomination........2005-10-25
Having followed Apop since the glory days of "Bitch" and "Deep Red," I loathe this album. Inspired by the popularity of "Kathy's Song," Groth has essentially stretched its flavor out for a whole album, attempting to appeal to ravers and goths alike. It's an admirable goal, admittedly, except that it's horrible. Attempting to straddle two fairly well-established genres, the lyrics come across as the puerile whining of a preadolescent bedecked in his mother's mascara layered over generic trance programming more at home... well, nowhere. This album doesn't deserve a home. Skip it and, as the song says, let it suffer in silence. Don't waste your money.
Worth Every Penny!!.......2005-01-12
This album is fantastic. The store that i go to so that i can acctually buy quality music was playing this album on the in store sterio system and i fell in love with it instantly. From start to finish the songs are great, they make you want to dance no matter where you are. I love every song on the album , there is not one that i could not list as my fav, even my 6 year old song likes this album. So like i said worth every penny and i look forward to their next album.
Disappointing..........2005-01-06
I bought this CD on a whim one day while looking through the goth/industrial section at a local music store. I had remembered hearing some APB before and liking what I heard, so I picked up this CD because I didn't have any APB in my collection. Well, whatever I had heard before, it apparently wasn't this CD. It's a bit too poppy for my taste. The only really good song on this disk is "Unicorn" (track 3). Track 5 is ok too, until you get to the end of the song. The synth sound on track 3 is a bit darker than the rest of this disk, kind of reminds me of VNV. I know some people consider VNV to be pretty poppy, but they look like Skinny Puppy next to this.
**EDIT** I'm not sure why I even gave this one 3 stars, considering that I only liked about one and a half songs and could easily dispense with the rest. I think I'd downgrade this one to 1 1/2 stars.
