Real Beautiful Euro-Trance!.......2006-06-29

This is the first single from Belgian Vocal Trance Sensation Kate Ryan, that just was mindboggling...Beautiful Euro Vocal Trance, and in French too, though I understand no French, absolutely cool...One of the best Vocal Trance Songs I heard, though it's a M. Farmer cover, no problems, Kate Ryan rocks!...5 Stars, I wished I could give thousand stars!

Okay, so it's in French, but that doesn't stop Desenchantee from being one of the most divine sounding songs I've ever heard. Originally by Mylene Farmer in the early '90s this version by Kate Ryan lacks Farmer's dreamy feeling but replaces it with an upbeat trance mood and some wonderful cues remixed in hypnotic euphoria.

Desenchantee (disillusioned) is a great song no doubt and sounds just as amazing coming from Kate Ryan as it did Mylene Farmer. However the other song featured on this CD 'U R My Love' is far more generic and unspectacular, though it does have some brilliant sounding trance cues. Desenchantee gets 3 mixes on this CD while the inferior U R My Love gets 4.

What a terrible song !!!.......2005-02-11

I've been scoping the CD Maxi single of Kate Ryan's "Desenchante" & "U R My Love". At Tower Records and Virgin Records for quite some time. I didn't buy the single until now because i never heard of this singer. Because of the Amazon online reviews, I bought this single. Boy! What a mistake that was. I knew that Desenchantee is a French only version by reading the online reviews. Still, I bought the single. Desenchantee is a poorly written, uncatchy, and the composition of the song is terrible. So was "U R My Love". Kate Ryan's vocals didn't make up for these two terrible songs. She tries to sound like the French Canadian Celine Dion but fails. She doesn't sound half as good as Celine Dion or most of the female vocalists from Robbins Entertainment record label. I'm gay and love all dance diva music but Kate Ryan was just terrible. And when she sings in American, she sings with a heavy accent. Just plan terrible. What a waste of money !!! I should've given this only 1 star but since i love dance music & support dance music, i give it 2 stars.
