Customer Reviews:

3 out of 5 stars Volume 10 is way better.......2006-06-01

I really like volume 10 of this series. So I bought this one too. It is not bad, some tracks are really nice. I like "Smile for Me" and a few other numbers too.

I just hope that some of the other volumes are as good as number 10.

4 out of 5 stars State Of The Genre.......2006-02-03

I'm a huge fan of "Om 8: The Predecessor!" and I'll admit it's taken me a couple of turns to feel this one, 9th in Om's voyage. It's a good segue from Om 8, but very different...not as consistent and seemless a collection...not as much of a smooth ride all the way through. But that's OK! This one takes you up, down, sideways in a deliberate way; it really covers the territory, from one track to the next. This will be a jolt to some, for it takes an open ear/mind to shift gears from the Sly Stone flavored "I Believe In You" (Amp Fiddler) to the closer -- a musically timid, petite little thing, "Tu Es Le Seul" (Lornalee)...but somehow it works. Diversity is the word here...

5 out of 5 stars One of the Best Lounge CD's Out There.......2005-02-22

The test of a truly GREAT lounge cd is one that you can play from start to finish (a continuous sound loop experience)...it sets a complete mood and the energy never get's too low or too high.....OM Lounge 9 is absolutely smooooooth and doesn't have any tracks that you'll want to skip over!! I would go so far to say that no self respecting bachelor should be without this cd....its pure MONEY !! And ladies will love the energy and great relaxing vibe that just ooozes out from every song !! This cd is perfect for relaxing get-togethers with friends, chilling out after the weekend, counteracting the frustrations of rush hour traffic jams, etc.....but its real magic can be seen when you play it just for TWO....over a candlelit dinner or with a great bottle of wine....ooofta !! Standout tracks include "Maybe", "Smile for Me" and "Siren" !! Play it for someone special TONIGHT !!! And if you like (love) OM 9, check out Destination Lounge: San Francisco...another amazing must have lounge CD !!

5 out of 5 stars As usual, the OM label never disappoints.......2004-12-20

This is the perfect CD for a cocktail party, or to just relax and chill out. Being familiar with several artists on the OM label, I picked this up before I heard any of the songs on this CD. Needless to say, the compilation did not disappoint. As is typical of the OM label, the songs always go down smoothly which is not a bad thing. I recommend this highly.

4 out of 5 stars Works For Me.......2004-11-15

I have to admit that I don't own a lot of the OM series, but the few that I have I am in love with. On this set, these songs stand out: (in no particular order)

Jazzanova - Let Your Heart Be Free
Kaskade - Maybe
Amp Fiddler - I Believe In You (done up by the infamous Bugz in the Attic, oh yeah!)
Kaskade - Steppin Out (Chillout Mix)
Harlem Zip Code - Where Will You Go (I really love this hip hop beats backing a 'lounge' singer)

The song I least liked is the last one by Lornalee, 'Tu Es Le Seul'. Just wasn't feelin' it.

These are my personal favs and I think the whole cd is very good. I recommend this as a buy.
